Open hostility towards AI factions would add an interesting option to the game. It would be nice to have the option of turning your band of mercenaries into bandits themselves. You could raid trade caravans, peasants, or even villages for fun and profit. Or, perhaps there could be an element of privateering – banditry towards a particular faction sponsored by another faction.
Additionally, it would be nice to expand some of the tavern rumors into full-fledged treasure hunts. Occasionally you’ll hear about an abandoned keep off towards the west. But it would be cool to have more involved searches, with ancient maps to supposedly buried treasure that could turn out to be fantastic riches, a false lead, or even a bandit ambush. It would add an additional element of game play to add onto the current quest options.
