Bounty Hunters bug?

[TIDM2]

I just took a contract to kill some bandits. I killed a bandit leader and then some bounty hunters showed up and asked me for his head. I fought and beat them, however this event then occurred two more times within the space of a few seconds. It was hard to beat these guys the first time, but three times destroyed my early party. Pretty sure three of the same event popping up like that isnt intended.

EDIT: It stopped when i gave them the head. Sorry also just read the bug reporting rules ill try to reproduce it
