I launch the game and it hangs on this last entry in log file ‘Screen ‘RootScreen’ successfully registered. I don’t have antivirus software (it is disabled) Firewall is off too, i also run the game with admin rights. I tried running with old GL -gl30 . Tried on one screen. Can you help me out with this issue. Also is there a list of prerequisite software for your awesomium engine that game runs on, so i can better debug and test the game run?

January 2018 at 13:30 #22479RapKeymasterThe game hanging at this point is caused by a third-party UI library, called Coherent GT, not responding while the game attempts to initialize all its UI assets. Unfortunately I don’t have any insight as to why this may be the case for you, and with no means to rectify the situation, I’m afraid the best course of action for you may be to refund the game.
As for your other point, Awesomium isn’t our engine. It’s another third-party UI library that Battle Brothers made use of back in the early days of the free combat demo, but which was since dropped.

I have made an event trace dump of the situation, using Microsoft’s process monitor (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon). If someone is willing to make and share that dump for a working setup, I’d be willing to have a look at it and compare them. Maybe it’s just some dll/program incompatibility with something I have installed or not installed…

Besides, the version of the game gone far ahead, so it is impossible for me to recreate this and further research, as i don’t have old PC. On current PC all is ok. Seems like some compatibility issue with some video hardware drivers and libraries.
12. January 2023 at 04:16 #29526gruustParticipantJust discovered an issue with another game and it turned out to be related to my audio device: Steinberg UR22mkII (line, Win11). It’s an ASIO device (low latency).
Maybe BB has the same issue with that device. Someone running BB over that one (or another ASIO driver/device) successfully?
