Critical Exception Error

First got this error when leaving a town in the game yesterday and now the save will not load, get white screen and critical exception error after the game freezes in the loading screen. Other saves can load but not this one, it’s an ironman game so it’s impossible to just recover from an earlier save. Attached all the relevant files and a screenshot of the error message. Would love to know if the save is recoverable or not and if there is something I can do to prevent this from happening in the future. I don’t use mods and have already verified the files and uninstalled, etc.
