    I had 150ish food and got that event. It said -6 food but I lost all of my food.

    There was a problem with time not pausing properly if you switched tasks, which had you continue to use provisions even through you weren’t playing at the time. The fix will be included in the next update. Could this be what happened here?

    Its possible if that bug only affects food and not money. I calculated my money so it wouldnt run out before I can escort the caravan.
