Game doesn't quit on main map after battles

Happens at the end of each battle.
The game does not load to the main map – game stops.
I can use a mouse and hexes are still being highlighted. But nothing is clickable. Music still playing. Escape button and any other button doesn’t work.
(details scroll on Brigand Thug from screenshot also can’t be closed)
Nothing else happens. Only thing I can do – close the game.
Reproducible on new companies and from old savegames.

Update: can’t attach log.html file because of an error on the forum – “log.html: Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”
I’ve tried html, txt, and rar archive. How can I attach it?
