16. August 2016 at 14:45 #16557RusBearParticipantOk… rule “only 1 banner” have changed, let me also a personal request)
Company Name : Northern Fury
with a hint of fraction of northern raiders noted by developer. It seems it was a group of mercenaries from the north (it will be possible to do right beard in the barbershop )) will remain only three of these and gain will only Raiders).
Banner – two steel/ white/ silver crossed brodaxe under the helmet in the Viking style on a black background with a rune ornament on the edges same color( silver white or steel)16. August 2016 at 15:40 #16560FotsvampParticipantHow about “The Free Men” as one of the companies to inspire a banner, They were originally a group of peasant rebels fighting against the oppression of a cruel lord, but when their cause failed to gain support they eventually turned to mercenary work and occasional banditry.
Their banner would have peasantry iconography, maybe crossed pitchforks (scythes or other farm implements turned into weapons), with a bushel of wheat or something similar to represent their origin, and a broken crown to represent their contempt of, and rebellion against authority. The company isn’t really interested in justice as much as rebelling so symbols of justice I think would not be great for their banner.
Probably muted colors, grey, brown and the like would best capture the spirit of this company.

They ended up having unexpected successes and started to accept more and more contracts, until greed took the best of their leader. So, when tasked with razing a Necromancer’s Lair, the leader made a mysteryous pact with the necromancer behind his comrades’ back in exchange for many riches and the curse fell upon all the company, so they became…
The Flesh Eaters – now in service of the necromancer, they help him to terrorize the land, raiding villages and everything else that is not under the service of their master.
Their banner is made of human flesh from different bodies, so it has a frankestein quality to it, and the emblem is a black heart trespassed by 7 daggers with pommels made of little skulls, with veins that seem like a mix of thorns and blood entwined around these daggers. This banner is a corruption of the former The Paladins’ company: the banner used to be golden yellow, with a sun shining behind a jewelled heart. (or whatever color, I prefer the Flesh Eaters anyway : D )

He started his company with this banner, green with black bend to the right. Simplicity and very fine material sugest that he came from some old noble family. Conrad recieved his nickname mainly becouse of his look. His face is always stone cold, his gaze is almost hypnotical, mainly because his eyes don’t move. His left hand always rest on his sword pommel. Engraving on blade tells the sword name- “Venom”. After countless battles, company members wanted to honor their captain. They took banner to the finest tailor in city where they rested between contracts. Tailor made brown snake wrapped around silver longsword. Snake’s head was bending over sword hilt with the same hypnotic gaze. When Conrad saw this, for one second, on his face you could see a half smile.

August 2016 at 01:33 #16564WargasmParticipantThe Steadfast Foresters (aka the Resurgent Scavengers) originated from an ongoing dispute between a bloodsucking noble house and a network of small villages dotted around a coastal region of rugged mountains, wooded meadows and swampy estuaries. Once, the lord had dispatched companies into the country to fight off wolves and bandits, but this protective role had been exploited to take control of the land and bleed its resources. Soon, those who had lost their lands or livelihoods took to sabotage, piracy, thievery or trickery, or went into the woods to poach and scavenge (or just to preach insurgence and summon otherworldly aid), and were persecuted and treated as bandits. Eventually, the lord stopped sending aid against the wolf packs arising from the woods, and started hiring bandits to play the wolves and terrorize the populace into compliance, but this united the whole region in hostility to the house. Bands of insurgents sprung up, none of them clothed in anything more than leather or cloth, but all of them expert in the use of terrain that troubled the noble troops, and many of them making ingenious use of tools as weapons. Some of them stood firm in shieldwalls against endless onslaughts of claws; others lurked in the shadows, patiently waiting to pounce upon heavily armoured bandits, snare them in nets, and then pelter them with bows and missiles and impale them with pikes or pitchforks (or expertly slice through their mighty mail with a humble carving knife). These impromptu bands gradually merged into a permanent fighting force (or several large and sometimes closely co-ordinated ones) that protected the region against the encroachments of barons, bandits, banshees and anything else over-mighty. This force also became a haven for those who longed for adventure or loot, and several small splinter groups ventured further afield with more predatory intentions (but those are other stories).

Former company of guards holding one of the passes into a now forgotten town against an overwhelming greenskin raid.
Held the line despite most sustaining injuries, returned to find that the other companies hadn’t.
With the fighting over, their home ablaze and kin dead, turned to mercenary work.Upper torso of a man holding a shield overhead with both hands, head turned down in exhaustion, face partly obscured by the shield.
Rain of blood hammering the shield, drizzling off on one side, representing the massacre.
The number 3 torn off their old banner and sewn on somewhere.17. August 2016 at 14:00 #16569KliqueParticipantThe Unbroken Third

A band led by Greedy Khan, specialized in dealing with thugs and bandits.
Most of the band income comes from picking up their targets’gear.
The Banner should be gold and blood with two symboles: A flail and a dagger ^^17. August 2016 at 15:39 #16575PsenBattleKeymaster -
