    Since I have gotten the beta branch of the update, the game seems to freeze every time I enter and exit towns and cities. I can confirm that this is not due to lacking performance for my computer as it runs the combat aspect of the game flawlessly.

    There you go. The game is saved every time you leave a town. This results in a delay, the length of which depends on your computer.
