Heya. In the current game, units which are fleeing are subject to attacks of opportunity when they try to move away when engaged in from melee. Due to the way the game works, this results in as many as 4 attacks from each unit engaged with as the fleeing unit can make attempts to move away 4 times.

Recommendation: Fleeing unit will stop attempting to move away if it is hit by an opportunity attack. It will use the shield wall ability if able.

    Why?
    1. It’s pretty odd to see a unit get hit 4 times by the same opponent out of turn.
    2. Fleeing is a very big penalty already; the unit does not take useful actions and is a sitting duck. Making the unit take 4 attacks of opportunity as well is pretty extreme
    3. Balances out Geists quite nicely. Demoralising units to the point of fleeing is still very very powerful, but not so ridiculously deadly as it is in the game right now.

Or let units only get a single attack of opportunity, so if you flee from someone they can only hit you once and waste your ap once and then you can continue moving away. Make it so a single guy isn’t a solid wall to someone escaping, but being nearly surrounded might be!

Yes, I did think of that too. Should work fine too, but just hoping this way is less coding work as the game is launching very soon.

Being hit just once per surrounding enemy would probably be the best.
