    Unlike every other background, the sellsword still lists mundane stat bonuses in the tooltip when hovered over with the mouse:
    Higher melee skill
    Higher ranged skill
    Higher melee defence
    Higher ranged defence

    Just a holdover from previous versions that was missed I guess
