unusable sound / euipment after deserting brother

When I start bb the first time (and steam with it) I don’t get any sound/music. The performance is poor. When I exit the game and start it again the sound is normal and the performance is better.

After missing the loot button a couple of times my company was out of cash. One of my mercenaries deserted the first night.

Afterwards his equipment showed up in my inventory – but no one could equip it. It was a weapon, armor and helmet. I was able to sell the stuff.

The first one is odd, not really sure what the cause might be. We’ll keep an eye on it.
