1. chainmail (or mail more correctly) was shit against thrusts and arrows would go straight throughout them, the reason why you hear stories of arrows sticking in knights and they would look like pincushions is because they used to stick in gambeson.
12. as soon as oposing army looses 10% of their troops they would run away, they wouldn’t stick to get massacred.
