Well, if MP is not in the initial release due to the workload it’d represent, and time constraints, it would certainly be cool as a DLC down the road.

How will injuries work exactly? What impact will they have? Reduced stats/increased costs dependent on what they are? Increased AP costs for movement per a leg injury or reduced melee/ranged skill for damage to arms/hands?

It’s an idea predicated and rooted in all of the mechanics and concepts of the game.

Granted being an Undead or Orc warband that loots, plunders and fulfills offensive contracts against villages/merchants is a very different vantage from a group of mercenaries that works on their behalf, but is ultimately similar in terms of actual gameplay; different opponents, different premises for combat, different situations, but ultimately it’s a skirmishing throwdown with your guys against theirs.

Hell, if they made this an expansion to the core game I would not object at all.

Yeah, definitely a thing that should exist; there might be a limited deployment area you can place your soldiers in as you like outside of an ambush scenario prior to the start of combat.

If you gain the ability to ambush an enemy, then your deployment area could be significantly larger. Perhaps the deployment area would vary in size depending on your group’s average initiative vs the enemy’s average initiative? Would give initiative some additional value.
