    1) I think recall would be good. maybe a release travel direction. other than that over complicated.

    2) Really Like this. could be hidden in the long grass. Also like idea of being able to drop caltrops to reduce mobility.

    3) Don’t think this fits too well. But i like the other 2 concepts.

+buff the emporer and Davkul armour back to where it belongs. I literally had one of those once in 1500 hrs play. They are rare and hard to get, they should best items not.

I agree with pretty much all these requests, not concerned about number of mountains though. I’ll add in two more:

Skip 1st round button would be good.
Opportunity when ambushed to choose which 12 Bros respond, but not chance to change their equipment loadout.

Will there be and Helmet attachments via crafting? e.g. fur lining

    Hey Trappist,
of course we discussed this. The problem is, that compared to armor, helmets have very distinct shapes. So if I paint an attachment overlay for a full helmet it would probably not fit on a kettle hat.
Painting each attachment for each helmet means a ton of work for me and we can’t deal with that at the moment.

Maybe we find a clever solution someday.

Here is the ancient statue artwork from the last blog post in full resolution:

    Hi Paul,

Just a thought on this, maybe only helmets with a full neckline could be flagged as suitable to be upgraded with craftables and others not.

This would include coifs and full helms for example but not Sallets. From what i can see they seem to have rather consistent neckline geometries.

Man i want that fur lining (because crossbow bolt to head).

    I hate spiders!

…But …..I really want to find a good Taxidermist who can graft those fangs onto my favourite helmet so i get a blinding headbut attack. hehe. Total beast hunter move.

I mean, the fact that you finished one mission, the tutorial, and then refused both one and two skull quests that could have helped you get money and experience says quite a lot. Three skull missions are designed to either be unbeatable, a fight you should walk away from, or very difficult, a fight that will cost you a few mercenaries. Doesn’t mean they always play out that way. It does mean you shouldn’t be bee lining straight to them if you intend to get unhappy about losses. As for world-map enemies, running away from a lot of fights is very important until mid to late game.

Am i reading this right, BB is one of your all time favourite games but you gave it a negative steam review? Why not go positive and then add a cautionary note to those that aren’t prepared to sink enough time to learn how to prosper in ironman?

…meant to quote your other post dude sorry!

I have played this game for 1110 hrs on steam’s record, but I don’t think it’s wrong that someone left a negative review for it even he/she mostly like the game. A game deserves both positive and negative reviews from its players. And sometimes, the more you love it, the more disappointment you will get from it.

Yeah sure but it was described as an ‘all-time favourite’ which is a somewhat different vibe to ‘mostly like’. Anyway I’d just like to clarify that I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful to Ledgren’s opinion, I was just intrigued to understand the rational. And I have to say I was really pleased to read his reply which made perfect sense and didn’t indicate any annoyance at my question (hopefully).

I would also describe this game as one of my all-time favourites. I’ve got 1300hrs+ on steam since early access, but i don’t think its perfect either. Really excited for the expansion, it will address some, but not all of the issues that would be on my own list of constructive feedback points. I’m just happy that Overhype are now striving for better, its generally the only way to reach perfect!

Hi Yolan, I agree, i’m also Vet Ironman player and i do feel there is a power curve i need to stay ahead of. I also would like the option to be able to play more conservative and not fall behind. I guess its the impact of number and level of reserve guys that does me in and I end up trying to game it.

Currently you are forced to take risks as better gear is the reliable way to beat the curve, cos levelling up is gonna happen regardless. I like to build a band of bros and pretty much stick with them. Not into firing levelled bros to bring in better dudes, just not my style.

Late game is sort of frustrating with all the massive enemy stacks roaming around and the fact that your backups are contributing to that phenomena, but cant assist in any of the actual fighting.
