    Horrible mission concept.
    I was inevitable attacked by 12 orcs, 3 bers, 8 orc warriors and a warlord. Had 12 mercs and some wardogs, half mercs almost topped, 200+ armor. Not a chance. I never saw such enemy party on map till that moment. Orcish elite so desperately wanted this caravan? If it transport half of the gold of this world, why only 4 caravan hands in guard? And a cherry on the top of this pie – game freeze after battle before world map. I suppose that’s because caravan was lost. 3 of us escaped to the border map. I was ironmaning, so now i have no any wish to continue that game. Replay battle? How many times? And of course i will never took that mission again, if template will staн as it is. I can have 12 300+ 11 level mercs and i suppose it will mean 20 orc warriors, same result. I am not a fan of easening the game but this is far too much. First of all, you should fix freeze of course, and i think the second is to let company move freely like it was in pre-update caravan mission. Or better scale opponent parties.

    Of course i can flee from battle and left the caravan and acting like I am free to choose fight for them or not, did not think of it in the encounter. There is another problem with fixed tie to the caravan: we cannot enter settlements to buy something, especially food. So if we mistook with adequate food amount signing contract, we can loose men deserting us on the route.
    And i did not ask this, is that orc marauders band was just a part of the world environment, or it was generated to attack caravan when i took the job? Was it a coinsedence or a mission concept?

    Next update will change the contract so that the caravan provides provisions to your men for the duration of the journey.

    I don’t know whether the orc marauders were part of the contract or just on their way elsewhere when they spotted the caravan. The contract may sometimes spawn enemies because not running into any opponents at all was a problem for the previous incarnation of this contract, but it doesn’t always do so. It’s usually enemies going about their business in the world that you run into while escorting caravans.
