Frequent tracks with no groups?

Is anyone else frequently seeing tracks from groups on the world map, but no unit leaving it? I’ve got about 1000 hours on the game, and ever since the DLC, I’m regularly seeing footprints/tracks with no unit leaving them. These aren’t old tracks….I’ll actually get ahead of the tracks, and watch them approach and pass my party, but there’s no unit to see or attack. I’ve seen it with beast and human units, but not orcs or undead.
