Game freezes on Caravan Hand rally

The game stuck when Caravan Hand regained his morale. The only thing I could do is to retreat, because for some reason I had a turn, but I could not control a unit.

You may not know this: You can always retreat. Even if it is the enemy’s turn.

I do know that, but what is the point of retreating when I won the fight? Besides my brothers are in action that means I’ll get injuries. So loose and injuries instead of win, xp and loot and all bc some caravan hand rallied and the turn is stuck? Does not look fair to me…
