    Current living shield is garbage.

    It costs x5 compared to normal heater shield and offers nothing of real value. (+2 rdef, +8 durr, -2 Fat not worth x5 price tag)

    It needs something to distinguish itself from other shields (including famed.

    Like make it actually “living” – regen some durability in combat, and make it 100% at the end of combat, to cut repair costs.
    Or make it -5 or -10 to resolve to shrats in base contact, as shrats are breakable and, probably may be affected by enemies, wearing their body parts as items.
