Militia hostility bug

in my game i noticed that militia of a town you pissed off but is under control of a noble appears to be white. they will attempt to attack you but when they engage my troops the battle counter shows 0 enemies and the battle instantly ends.
also militia and patrols sit atop their settlements/barracks/watch tower/etc instead of going inside like they are supposed to in my game. not sure if my game just bugged out on that one.

also when multiple militia units are after you they seem to be very confused what to do with you. i just had a battle where one of the militias helped me against the other from the same village.
their relationship to the player just seems very buggy
