Speed of game can’t be changed to ‘normal’ via hotkeys while camped.

While camped controls for changing speed of game are still there and you can interact with them with mouse. But with hotkeys attempts to set speed to ‘normal’ with key ‘1’ set speeds to ‘fast’.

Repro steps:
– Make camp. Speed will be set to ‘fast’.
– Try to press ‘1’ – speed will not be changed.
– Press ‘space’ and game will be paused. Speed controls will indicate this as well.
– Press ‘1’ – speed will be set to ‘fast’ again.

Manual clicking allows to set speed to ‘normal’.

Manual clicking doesn’t change real game speed. Only speed control indicator is set to ‘normal’.

This has been the case since the game first came out. It was the only way to speed up “game time” before this update. Normal behavior.

In a single player game, there's no such thing as cheating. It's merely "creative manipulation of the default settings"!

It may be normal in the terms of speed. But speed indicator behaviour is not correct. It should not allow changing speed to ‘normal’ via clicking.

Oops! Sorry. I misread the post. Since the camp speed was always “double time”, I never even tried to change it.
