What does the game of solitaire teach?
Itzhak Calderon Adizes: "One of the most renowned business experts in the world. For over 50 years he has been developing and improving a methodology designed to enhance the effectiveness of companies. Author of over 20 books, translated into 26 languages."
Have you ever played solitaire?
If not, do so to learn an important lesson about governance and life in general. This exercise is especially valuable for those with an E.
In this game, you start by dividing a deck of cards into seven parts. All cards are turned face down. You flip over one card in each card pile in turn. The cards must be moved in such a way that they are stacked in order of seniority: from king to two. Black and red cards must alternate. Then you should put the cards in a separate pile, ordering them from ace to king.
Often times, cards don't allow you to make any decision. There is no way to put them in the right order (black-red-black, etc.). You check and recheck all the options, but there is no solution. What to do then?
You start another game. You are not angry because this is a game and every move cannot be successful.
Can you also reflect on your life? Not every problem is solvable. Let go. Start a new game.
The fact that you cannot find a solution to the problem should not upset you. Because in life, as in free spider solitaire games, not every problem has a solution. Sometimes we just come across bad cards. Life is not what you want it to be. She is who she is.
When you hit a rock and your efforts are in vain, stop digging. You don't have to stop when you find oil (if you're lucky). It is also important to find the strength to stop when the search is useless. Stop digging. Control your ego, which wants to solve the problem, even when you are in a desperate situation. The more you hit the granite, the more you spoil your tools. When you try to dig granite, you ruin your life.
This rule also applies to the management of companies and to your personal life. I have come across organizations in which leaders spent more and more money on deliberately losing businesses because they did not want to recognize them as hopeless. They were ready to throw money down the drain. This idea applies to marriage as well.
But there is something else that solitaire teaches.
When you lay out the cards, you can catch yourself thinking that all possible options have already been exhausted. You think the game is over. You are stuck, but this is not true.
Take a break and you will see steps that you did not notice before.
Why?
Our brain, like a computer, has a certain limit of possibilities. When we use it at its maximum, it stops responding. When you look at a problem after you rest, you will discover new possibilities.
How does this idea relate to business?
If you've been working on a particular problem for too long and feel like you've exhausted yourself, take a break. You will immediately notice that new ideas will come to your mind that you have not even thought about before.
The same applies to your personal life. Pause. Go to bed even when you have an unresolved problem. When you wake up the next morning (or in the middle of the night), the decision will be right in front of you.
Spider Solitaire Online also offers a third learning experience where you are not playing but watching the game. When I watch a solitaire player play, I notice that I can offer much better moves than the player. The same thing happens with the game of chess.
As an observer, you have a significant advantage: you have more energy than the player because you are not responsible for the outcome.
Therefore, when discussing a situation that has emotional consequences for you, let someone else lead the problem-solving process. You don't lose the power to make decisions. You are just from the discussion. Notice how much better you understand the problem when you observe it, rather than manage it. By implementing this technique, you can make better decisions. Useful Resources: Solitaire games are a great way to calm down and harmonize your psyche.
