Love the new assets! In case of lamellar armor – Man, +1 to keeping the old assets as well! Actually, I loved them.

And about platemail, full plate, cuirasses, salets etc etc. do you guys consider a possibility for future DLC(or expansion, as I’d call it) with “rare” (maybe unlockable by some kind of quests?) merchants selling such stuff? Regional armor and weapons + late medieval things. Some people are crying for that.

I’m pretty sure even with “optional DLC” giving access to another tier of items you’d make a ton of money and a lot of people would get satisfied. Adding 8-10 new sets of armor, few helmet variants and some new weapon assets shouldn’t become loads of works. They do such stuff to Conan Exiles and people are actually buying those DLC’s.

If you guys can’t enable full-modding into the game, consider creating simple tools for people to “inject” new events, items (with sprites/custom icons and customizable mechanics currently used in the game), professions and maybe even monsters with changable faction(so you could eg. introduce new types of Orcs/Goblins/Undead/Bandits/Neutral monsters).

Seriously, I’d pay 20$ for such toolset, and I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people who’d do the same.
From the economical perspective – Active modding community equals bigger sales.

Also, you seriously should consider small DLC’s to keep a good reputation with fans of your game. I don’t think it would take a lot of work to release something per quarter and I’m 100% positive that this money would help you out with your next project.

    C’mon Overhype. Your first baby is so great, why u do dis? ;_;

I keep my fingers crossed as well. A lot of people on other boards are talking about this too. BB was a dream come true to a lot of us, and we feel that this game has a lot more to offer.

Come to RPG-Codex boards mate. There is a BB thread and people are already talking about you. I think you might find a lot of help along modders and other people. BB is great, but we need to keep in mind that it won’t be developed further, so it won’t become an ultimate dream for some like eg. Dwarf Fortress(ofc for some people).

That’s why you freaking NEED modding(or abillity to add our own items at least…) in your game. Magnificent job mate!

Alright, I would nerf ONE thing about them and that would be… Giving them some kind of cooldown(lets say, once every 2-3 turns) on their teleport skill because with their AI they basicly teleport to the safest hex near the easiest target every turn. This is actually most unfun thing about them imo.

Give them some kind of unique accessory slot items (eg. health regen on hit. Why your bro shouldn’t get some vampiric powers as well for killing a big flock of necrosavants?) and they would become more attractive to fight. Also, increase the chance to drop a legendary item, and that sort of stuff.

I have an idea. Lets make all enemies simply run for you like dire wolves. And lets strip them out of every unique skill. All in all, game is too hard!

    Seriously tho’
Necrosavants are end game enemies basicly. They MUST be hard and you need to be extra prepared for them. Don’t expect an easy sweep like with brigands or anything like that. This game is supposed to be hard and you are supposed to lose men like in old UFO games.

What I agree about is giving better rewards for killing those monsters. All in all, they are a huge threat and it comes at huge cost to defeat them.

Can’t wait for modding support and ability to add our own items.

I guess they are related to specific events and you can’t keep them after beating one, right? ;<

some banners have pointy tips, they are fine, but others such like the Celtic one which doesnt have pointy tip, yet still using that penetration like sound effect, kinda weird, dont you think?

Imagine that the pointy tip is on the other side and they simply do not wave the banner while engaged in combat. It’s a game, and sprites are limited somehow. Sometimes it’s better to just ignore such minor facts.

Ooor… Extend the roster by 1 and make that 1 additional slot for a banner carrier/drummer or smthg.

Adding to my predecessor post, I’d love to see more various colours on the equipment. Eg. headbands, hoods, tunics, tabards etc.

Or just add the option to take down the level cap(and disable achievements for that run)
Game might become unbalanced, but that’s personal preference for someone interested, right? I see absolutely nothing wrong with having such options in my games.

I’m all in for throwing daggers, jester suit and different improvised weapons like hammers/slings et cetera.

Hey Paul, could you possibly create some kind of unique armor resembling Lorica Segmentata? I know that’s not really the same era, but with all those “ancient dead” guys… Why wouldn’t some blacksmith try to create something based on old design?

I saw a pretty nice “fantasy” picture of advanced “segmentata” like armour. Check this out:
    Advanced LS

Also, “masked” face helmets. Just how badass one of your bros could look with that metal face on his helmet :P
