There are 3 important stats already. Melee def, melee attack and max fatigue. There is no room to lvl up any other stat beside those ones. After those three i would lvl up, ranged attack and initiave.

Major balance issue for me is that opponents dont have tools to fight against heavy armored brothers. After I get scale armors game becomes grind.

I too try to avoid graveyards and forests.

Forest is bit too thick with too many trees.

Adrenaline, I guess you are using with rest perk. But you still lose your turn even if u get first turn next round. You need insanly high max fatigue too with that combo which makes brother lose pontetial ranged capabilities. I guess it could be used early game before you get heaviest armors and when every hit counts. But late game it does less dps.

    -Tier 1
Fast Adaption: Not so bad, but there is better stuff.
Crippling Strikes: Most of injuries are useless. Nope.
Colossus: No way I’m using any points on HP, nine lives is better than this.
Nine Lives: Great perk, I try to take this always.
Bags and Belts: It costs item’s half fatigue to keep them in inventory, I don’t need this.
Pathfinder: Very nice perk, makes difference on forest and swamp, why not on grass too. Halves fatigue penalty of movement, more fatigue is always nice.
Adrenaline: 30 fatigue is expensive, I don’t use this perk.
Recovery: I want to like this perk, but didn’t really have use for it. Brother loses his turn using this.
Student: I always take this, brother needs 3k less experience to reach level 11.

    -Tier 2
Executioner: Extra damage is always nice, but it’s rare occasion when it triggers and matters. I don’t take it.
Head Hunter: Good with axes, I guess. Nothing mind blowing.
Bullseye: You should target easiest target to hit, not hardest. So no thx.
Dodge: Initiative is low with heavy armors, so no.
Fortified Mind: Resolve is useless, no.
Quick Hands: Great perk with duelist, nets, crossbow-2handers and others.
Gifted: More points is always good, I find myself taking this.

    -Tier 3
Backstabber: Very good perk, better chance to hit enemies.
Underdog: I like this too. When brother gets surrounded, he needs all the help.
    Anticipation: Nah.
Shield expert: Doesn’t give brother that big bonus on melee defense, but makes shields harder to break.
Brawny: More max fatigue, I take this always.
Steel brown: Not utterly useless but there are better perks than this.
Taunt: Nope, maybe if it was area, not just single target.

    -Tier 4 Weapons
I mostly use Warhammer as they work best versus battle orcs. Crossbow perk is nice too, more damage.

    -Tier 5
    Reach Advantage: Um, no
Hold out: Most of injuries aren’t that devastating to take this perk. If brother gets major injury I want to withdraw him from close combat already.
Lone Wolf: Advantages of this is not enough to send brother on suicide mission.
Footwork: Bit expensive fatigue wise, but I take this on every brother. Most broken perk at the moment.
Rally the troops: Not worth to specialize to resolve rally, company loses more than gains.

    -Tier 6
Berserk: Too situational so I skip this one. I have to check it with bow user.
Nimble: Armor > melee defense, so big no.
Battle forged: One of the best perks in the game. Frontline brothers will use this.
Rotation: Why use this if brother can use Footwork? Nope.
Sergeant: Again, resolve is useless. I don’t use this.

    -Tier 7
Fearsome: This is tricky one, I want to like it but most of the time brothers do more than 15 damage. Does it trigger with Warhammers 10 armor ignore damage?
Killing frenzy: 2-handed users don’t really gain anything from this. Bow users and 1-handed users could potentially make more damage but I find it bit too situational to use. I find myself picking perks that work always rather than this.
Indomitable: Too expensive fatigue wise. There is no need to take this when brothers can use Footwork.

    Frontline build
All points to melee attack, melee defense and max fatigue.

    Dps build
All points to melee attack, ranged attack and max fatigue.

It seems game rolls 10 numbers for every stat when he spawned. For example melee attack rolls, 3 1 3 3 1 1 1 1 1 1. Only way to get pass bad roll is to pick it.

I think current system is more balanced than last one. Melee attack will be lower all around board which forces you to use all tricks available to take down enemy.

In last patch there was no need to break shields and etc, because brothers had ridiculously high melee and melee defence skills.

MinMaxing is harder now too, I never know how many level ups are needed to put max fatigue to able to use heaviest armor and still able to do 2 attacks.

I understand its frustrating to roll +1 three times a row, but its rewarding to roll that +4. I guess there should be somekind of variable to prevent super bad rolls, like ten +1.

I dont like your ideas to make “hidden” stuff to determinate level up rolls, that kind of system “forces” players to play gimmickly. I know this effects mostly minmaxer but this segment shouldnt be ignored.

My orginal observation was wrong. When u kill someone, u can hover ur cursor on body and see if weapon was dropped or not. no need to pick up stuff.

I said my sell sword can kill 3 orc warriors. He has no armor and health but he can kill them in one turn before they can even attack.
Danubian, your perk tree is perfect for tanks, i was talking about skill points you can put in hp,fatigue, etc..

Use perfect focus. Killed that wounded orc berserker, kill triggered berserk giving him 4 more AP, Switched to 2 handed-axe and moved him next to orc warrior, killed him, moved next to other orc warrior, killed him.

Berserker dead and 2 orc warriors in one turn.

Moved my tanks to protect him.

Well my guy cant obviously tank orc warriors, but he can kill 3 warriors in one turn. The key is perfect focus, battle flow, maxing max fat and melee attack. Play around with perfect focus, its insanely good skill. You need guy with Rally too and tanks which will prevent orc warriors to attack you perfect focus guys. The guy you posted is filling the tank role, they arent expected to make major damage.

I dont want to sound cocky or anything, but you are spreading your points all over the board. Your guy has too much max fatigue if you are playing with rally. I dont see point to build up hp that much, but maybe I’m wrong.
Difficulty level doesnt make orc warriors harder, if you hover your cursor over difficulty levels you see what is difference between them.

All the points in melee attack, melee defense and ranged attack. I have been playing around with dodge, I really starting to like it. End game is all about material of your brothers, I end up starting new game after I have lvl 11 guys.

Well alone he can take 2 orcwarriors if lucky 3. He can also take down 5 goblin ambushers in first turn, so there is no need to run after them.

But I agree generally what you are saying. Orc warriors are bit too tough, it forces player to make party specialized just to kill them.If you make bad choices lvling ur brothers they are imposible to win, but when you know best builds then they are too easy. I would like to see party of 30 orc warriors.

Its huge difference if your brother is lvl 10 or 11 as usually the last perk will finish the synenergy with the build.

I like perk system now, its well thought. 10 perks is just perfect ammount to build ur brothers and there is some synenergy. Like perfect focus + battle flow. I think devs told that they will remake perk tree someday, but they are focused in adding new content now to make the world more interactive.

Only time i saw orc one shotting max gear brother was orc berserker 2handed axe headshot.

Another note, noone is forcing you to fight them.

Few tips for people whole are struggling against Orc Warriors.

    1. Nimble
If character starts with melee def 0, = 0
Every level up put points in melee def, = 20
    Holdout + inspiring presence, = 10
    =30 and with nimble, = 60

    With Heater shield
Character starts with melee def 0, = 0
Every level up put points in melee def, = 20
    Heater shield + Shield Expert, = 25
    Holdout + inspiring presence, = 10
    =55 and with shieldwall +25, = 80

Problems starts with shield when orc breaks them with 2 hits.
Melee def without shield and without nimble will be 20+10=30, with 30 melee defense your brothers start dying.
If brother has nimble and his shield breaks, he will still have 60 melee defense, which is not that bad at all.

    2. Indomitable
4 AP, 40 Fatigue, every other turn. Immunity to stun and knock back plus -50% dmg received for 2 turns. This skill is crucial as it prevents orc warriors to push brothers around. With indomitable you can tie down orc warriors while brothers with perfect focus do the damage with billhooks.

Melee defense is the most important stat in the game right now, put points in it every level up. Orcs hit so hard, it is better
to avoid to get hit than try to soak up damage. So it is generally good to get both shield expert and nimble for your brothers.
Try to find brothers with base melee defense around 10, with nimble that is 80 melee defense. Try to find few drunk sword masters,
go killing frenzy and nimble. These guys are broken.

You can rest ur brothers already? Just dont move and you gained 15 fatigue.I dont see what your suggestions would add to the game.

Arent wardogs expensive? Sure if u have enough money to throw 5 wardogs at enemy it helps. It is just better dodge goblins as you dont gain anything.
