BlacksteelParticipant
I agree with, need UI scale on console.

BlacksteelParticipantI would also be glad to pay for more dlc. Excited for your new rumored game but also keep working on battle brothers, this game is more a hobby than a video game and I can’t stop playing 1200 hours in.

BlacksteelParticipantThis is a good idea, I also think more more more consumables in general. I really wouldn’t care if there were similar items with minor differences. Like different “flavors” of the same grenade, it explodes in different appearance but its still just a grenade, maybe weaker but more common alternates…idk
I personally do really like the pseudo-scarcity where there is this feeling that I should save my holy waters for the right fight. I like that some consumables are much scarcer, but like nets for example are much more common/you can easily seek them out.

BlacksteelParticipantYeah I agree man, a “you are fighting now” or “vs” pre-combat screen would really visually enhance the game as well. It would be a huge art opportunity if we had some nice graphics pop in from either side right before a battle. It would not be very hard to implement some simple sliding cards with images of enemies and your brothers with a big “VS” in between the cards. Game time could be paused at this screen, and buttons allowing you to adjust your loadout and possibly access some enemy information on the other side.
This would also be a very positive change with minimal negatives. I do the same thing in the game now basically, it just requires me to pause the moment before combat starts so I can adjust my loadout. It’s really doesn’t require much skill to do so, and therefore I don’t think it would even affect the games balance.
Mostly though I just want some cool art on a VS screen, good idea SirRichard.

BlacksteelParticipantSounds like you’re fired up from an RNG loss, and I feel that.
I am not against the idea of adjusting the minimum appearance threshold of certain add-ons.
For now, I view this “problem” as one of the many skill aspects of the game. I actually do investigate the map first thing (before naming my brothers) so that I can decide from Day 1 whether or not I am satisfied with the map. There is no information limitation, the fog of war is only in the wilds for a reason.
It also makes sense that you could speak to townsfolk and hear about what is available in other cities, but not hear about what is in the wilderness. This is an RP justification, and to be fair your criticism is mostly regarding the gameplay experience, but at the same time, battle brothers makes no claim to be an easy or hand holding game.
So ultimately….meh.

BlacksteelParticipantYes but the whimpering sound doesn’t sound very wardog-ish, it sounds the same as when my corgi or chihuahua get hurt, ha.
I don’t want to get too snooty though, I really love the game and will keep playing it.
Help me out devs I love you guys.

BlacksteelParticipantThis sounds like a nice optional challenge, similar to extra campaign challenges in xcom.
