ForceEchoParticipant
Agree, I hate when games do this. All backgrounds should be available.

"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantI like point 3 of your second post.
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantI could see this being a special event during the noble war, where your company stumbles into the remains of a battle. Maybe get a few items, chance of a heraldric hauberk. An actual special game mechanic for scavenging? A no from me, it doesn’t sound very fun or engaging to be honest.

ForceEchoParticipantBump….my idea is based a bit on an interesting character Tybalt of Vengerberg. Would love to see Master Archer in game.
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantWell, that’s my idea dead. Not that I’m sad…. the change to potions is a good one. For new builds well it looks like we will have a few “bags and belts” Grenadier builds lol.
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantI totally second that, but perks are at an absolute premium for meta builds. Reducing risk of negative effects alone would be too weak to give this perk a chance of ever being picked. It would need to buff the effect and duration of these items aswell – improving the transient stat boost being the primary goal.
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantAbsolutely, they are a really cool mechanic but just the implementation was too cautious leading to an overall lack of practical utility. I don’t fault Overhype. It is really difficult to add a new mechanic of stat boosting without making it OP.

ForceEchoParticipantBut the purpose of the background is to be an ultra rare find, that is exciting when you see it. A legendary archer. Good for the late game when even you could consider dropping one of your lower proficiency veteran hunters for this master archer. It makes for interesting narrative and story telling while bringing something to the table in terms of gameplay (late game options). The overall power of the background is balanced by its rarity and cost.
As I mentioned I think it would be cool if he only showed up when there is archery tournament taking place ! It would make the archery tournament be an exciting settlement situation even in late game because of the rare chance of seeing one of these legends for hire. As it stands for late game archers everyone just hires hunters and I want to see even a tiny variation to this. I think it should be one of those memorable run defining moments like getting a good assassin or the masterwork bow.

ForceEchoParticipantWhelp, happy new year guys….. :( talk to us
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantCome on guys, Paul, Jan….. some update before Christmas. Doesn’t even have to be any new details. Just that you are well and thank you for a great 2019 with OverHype.
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantYea, fatigue I’m not sure about but you have to give him some drawback or it would be an auto hire. There had to be some risk involved that makes the game engaging.
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantThanks Paul, remember we ask questions because we love the game and all your awesome work ! Well done!
"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantPaul I added one very small art request in suggestions threads on forum. Would be cool if you gave thread a look.
In summary, since whip added a few enemies do a punch attack and the punch uses human hand art. It is a bit
immersion breaking. I like how the Unhold has a fist image. I think there should be a generic Greenskin fist attack
and generic skeleton fist attack symbol. Not a big deal but would be cool for consistency of the art. Cheers. :)"A plethora of peasents"
ForceEchoParticipantVery cool Paul !!! Are you a craftsman aswell as an artist ? :))
I am enjoying the DLC i think you did awesome art work on it. I have one question which is a bit of vanity but….. do you remember I made multiple suggestions and a thread to suggest for the “armored unhold” and you replied in this thread saying you loved the idea and imagining what the art for this enemy would appear like. Then I saw it in the DLC and I was Overhyped ! haha. I was wondering if my suggestions had caused inspiration for this scary enemy. Thanks again and well done!
