RexmundiParticipant
also, you can take the boat to one of the locations listed in the patrol mission and check off the destination from the patrol list.
RexmundiParticipantLet’s put it this way, I am running from raiders, the distance does not decrease. The caravan I crossed paths with get’s attacked and I get dragged into the fight. Even though I’m at a distance where I can’t be attacked normally. Now even if I could be dragged into a fight at that distance, I’m not being the one attacked, why do I get dragged in a battle when I’m not the one being attacked and I did not click on an ongoing battle.. The caravan is not my ally, I don’t care if it gets destroyed. It almost seems you get auto attacked if friendlies in the vicinity get attacked? I would really like to have the option to decline assisting even allies, let alone neutral npc caravans.
Anyway i got a screenshot from just before the battle. I am moving to the north, caravan to the south, Raiders to the north.
On a side note, raiders seem _very_ persistent in following your party.
RexmundiParticipantEncountered floating amber collector

RexmundiParticipantRexmundiParticipantRexmundiParticipantWhile trying to replicate the mentioned bug I ran into another bug. I deleted 7 chars (had 9/12) so I should have 2/12 chars left. However when trying to hire new chars the hire button did nothing and the rosternumber told me I had 9/12 in my company. Re-entering town changed the rosternumber to 2/12 but I still could not hire anything. I do have a log file this time and it shows similar errors as the bug mentioned at the start of this thread.
I accidentily uploaded the log file twice and the save file R15 is not the right one, it’s the save file E15. The E15-after error is the save after the bug happened. Reloading it did not solve the problem, and the game crashed when I pressed the exit game button (see log after crash).
Restarting the game solved the problem. I could load E15-aftercrash and hire new chars.

RexmundiParticipantUnfortunate I can’t seem to replicate the bug repeatedly after restarting the game. I managed it twice, with two different save-files, by doing the following:
You go into town, enter the shop and from the shop window access the roster. In the roster you delete your chars while they still wear their equipment. Then you leave the roster and automatically return to the shop. However there are no sellable weapons available (other than the ones you already had prior to deleting the chars). Once you change a single piece of equipment on the remaining chars, _all_ the equipment can be sold again.
I can’t seem to replicate it again. Tried it multiple times. If it happens again I will attach the log.html.RexmundiParticipantI replicated this bug aswell.
RexmundiParticipantA note of caution, though: in my experience, you can’t shield bash orc warriors off of high ground. I’ve tried it extensively and it never seems to work. I think they’re just too darned heavy to shove around. Young orcs and I think berserkers are a different story.
Orcs are immune to shield bash. If you select the skill and hover over or select the orc the game says that they are immune to shield bashing.
Not quite sure if it was only the warriors or also the other orcs.
RexmundiParticipantWell, concerning Fallen Heroes: I think it’s because the Undead aren’t nearly as aggressive as the orcs typically. You’ll see armies of orcs rushing at villages pretty quickly, but the undead seem to bide their time more and play the waiting game before they start moving in. That’s my experience.
That said, Fallen Heroes also aren’t as deadly to me as Orc Warriors. The main strength of Fallen Heroes is they have no fatigue. They have good stats, but coupled with that they have absolutely no fatigue whatsoever. So, when you fight them, you need to kill them fast, before they can wear your Battle Brothers down by just having more energy than you.
And my armies tend to be very much focused around hitting the enemy hard and fast. As I said before, my favorite army setups involve two-handed weaponry in bulk. I can keep a couple tough guys in front (nimble tanks or shieldbearers) while having pikemen stab from the back, or while having a two-handed swordsman perform a wide sweep or cut before stepping back once the dudes adjacent to him are dead. They’ll wear out fairly quickly, but they’ll kill quickly, too; and I have a captain/commander behind them blowing his horn every turn to keep them hale and hearty.
So, for me, Fallen Warriors aren’t that much of a problem. At least, they aren’t a problem until you starting factoring in the enemy having a necromancer or two, ghosts, and overwhelming numbers. Those kind of fights are terrifying problems.
It is quite easy to get unlimited fatigue yourself. Just have two brothers with high resolve and take turns spamming the refill fatigue skill. Keep the other brothers in a circle around them and you can fight indefinitely.
RexmundiParticipantThe orc armors are made from human armors.
Also they can drop unique shields and weapons.
Their weapon have high damage but low durability and is heavy and cost more fatigue to use – but on higher level it shouldn’t be a problem. It offers high damage and great ratio against armors.
The game is still half done at best and in actual state there is little reason to fight orcs at all. Unless you want to test your strength. Killing bandits is much more profitable and safe. Wait until they can actually raze settlements and take over strongholds so fighting them will be a must. There are lots of reasons to fight orcs, once you have a lot of fatigue and two mercs that can spam the fatigue reducing ability, you can easily use the orc weapons. So fighting orcs to get their weapons is a must at the mid/late stage of the game. I generally try to have two shields on my front line (one good vs ranged and one orc metal shield for melee def (the durability is very high) and three weapons (crossbow (bolts pre-equiped, doesn’t cost you an equipment slot), spear and an orc cleaver/axe). The spear to keep up spear wall, the crosbow to pepper the enemy with bolts and the cleaver/axe to brutally slaughter anything that breaks the spearwall (with the cleaver/axe it is fast, even against orcs, while the shield wall with an orc metal shield takes a long time to take down)
