Maybe a metal cap under the great sword wielders helmet so they would be less vulnerable to one shot kills.
1. February 2017 at 18:32 #19072WargasmParticipantWho would in their right mind go to the front lines having no head protection?
Hoggart the Weasel.
Or someone with 108 melee defence and the Reach Advantage and Anticipation perks.
1. February 2017 at 18:41 #19073RahzielParticipantThere will be two variants:
The headgear on second variant is a lot more promising, and looks good with his body armor.
Though it still would be lacking in defence ability compared to the first variant’s body armor.
I presume, by the looks of it, that helmet with hat on top of it will have about 120-130 durability?1. February 2017 at 18:43 #19075RahzielParticipantWho would in their right mind go to the front lines having no head protection?

Not the Weasel.. That’s Captain Bernhard !

Featuring a variety of full outfits, chains and pelts.
Bottom right corner is a swordmasters hat which will be used by the new “Greatsword” unit of the noble houses.Cheers!
Wonderfully colorful, do love!

2. February 2017 at 17:48 #19082PsenBattleKeymasterwill it be lootable ?
The hats/helmets without faction colors will be obtainable from some blacksmiths.
The according versions with faction colors will only be lootable in battle :) KIll some noble troops if you want them!2. February 2017 at 17:59 #19083Harry_KrishnaaParticipantThats great… thanks for answer!!!!!! BEST DEVS EVER!!!

sorry got another question while think about it….
Will i be able to take a peace treaty .. after attacking noble troops?
2. February 2017 at 19:16 #19089RusBearParticipantI think we need some kind of noble armor (with the faction’s colors ) as a reward for quests of this faction. Here’s why: in the game certainly will not be the functions of changing armor for spy operations or secret passageway into the city if you are an enemy of this fraction and killed its soldiers. At the same time if you are fighting for one of the factions and put on the armor of faction enemies … is at least – not clever and dangerous

There is no such thing as a peace treaty as of yet. The negative relationship will slowly decay when you dont attack any troops of that faction for a while. So its possible to get back to normal allthough it will take a while.
Apart from that there are events which can increase or decrease the relationship with certain noble houses.Regarding the ingame lore, I think the nobles will mark you as outlaws and put a bounty on your head. I imagine it beeing pretty difficult to getting back to normal relations with a proud and infuriated noble in those days.

Like with many things the reason we dont have this ingame is, that we dont have time to paint and implement these items. Sounds sad, but that’s the way it is :)

Great work man, can’t wait to see it in game2. February 2017 at 21:23 #19093SuperCaffeineDudeParticipantSorry as a follow-up technical question, do you apply a hue changer to some items (shields and armour), or are they individually textured?
It’d be great if there were some kind of way to cheaply randomise the saturation/colour/brightness of some of your items with some sort of mask, just to add a bit of variety without you having to draw and import hundreds of designs.
Or would that take more time? idk if it’s been suggested or discussed, all the best!3. February 2017 at 11:45 #19098UlrichParticipantGood job Paul, these nobles and landsknechts looks great.
All life's problems can be solved with a bayonet charge.

Hey dude,
we actually use a hue changer for many assets ingame. On top of that we also change saturation and brightness on a lot of assets: Vegetation, skin color, hair color, armor and weapons used by wiedergangers (so they look older) etc.
In general the changes have to be subtle though, otherwise it looks very artificial and “colored”.At the beginning of the project we used the hue changer for hoods and hats, but it just looked bad to be honest.
Heres an example of what happens when you try to really change the color on an item by just pulling some sliders or putting a layer on top. These examples could be more refined, but basically this is what you get.
Another issue can be the inventory spam if you have each item in 10+ color variations. There would probably be a solution to this, but this would take time again.Cheers!
