    I like this idea! We can go even further with realism, every brother should see the captain if he want to get bonus from his traits.
    Warrior with full helmet and decreased vision can’t see his orders so he don’t get any bonus :)

    I’m also for random system, this game and world is dark low fantasy, it’s about desperate poor commoners who don’t have any options to earn money in normal way, they have to risk their life for dangerous job. You shouldn’t identify with them separately, you should treat them as a group and human resources.If there was a character generator everyone would identify with that character and I guess that after his death most of players would load game to rescue his life. I even think that there should be only iron mode, save should be made automatically after leaving game :)

    In my opinion rearranging perk points in alpha version is not bad idea but in full version there is no option, you have to pay for your mistakes.

    I can recommend Lindybeige too but better take a look at https://www.youtube.com/user/scholagladiatoria Matt in my opinion is more competent than Lindybeige :)

    I’m not sure about weapon specializations, it might limit our strategy to one weapon type per battle brother.

    I like pike range idea, it may have range even from 2 to 3 fields :)

    More different enemies in faction is also good idea.

    There should be more different weapons and some changes

    1) Knife/Scramasax instead of bypassing armour attack should have bleeding attack.
    2) Rondel dagger with better damage and with the same traits as dagger.
    3) Longsword – double-handed, less damage than two-handed sword (a little more than arming sword) but with murder strike (can stun enemy with pummel attack) and half-sword (can bypass armour or damage armour).
    4) Pike – double-handed, same stats like spear but damage a little less than billhook and reach two fields
    5) Halberd – like billhook but instead of hooking skill can crush shield
    6) Heavy Crossbow – more damage, more range, better vs armour but you need 9 AP to reload
    7) Longbow – more damage and range and better vs armour than hunting bow but is less accurate
    8) Sling – less damage than shortsword, but can stun enemy
    9) Pavise – for archers and crossbowman – for 9 AP you leave it in front of you, it gives the best protection from missiles
    10) Archer’s stakes – the same as pavise but you can take it back and it gives tou something like spearwall
    11) Poleax – two-handed, damage like billhook, reach one field, nice damage to armour 150%, can crush shields and can trip enemy (easy to hit him in this round)
    12) Polehammer – two-handed, damage like billhook, reach one field, 250% damage to armour, can destroy armour and trip enemy
    13) Billhook – also should trip enemy
    14) Brigandine – I’m not sure is there is this armour
    15) Plate armour
    16) Full plate armour

    Few new skills:

    Guard Break (Offence Skill, Tier 1-2): remove all defence maneuvers like: riposte, spearwall, shieldwall

    First-Aid (Utility Skill, Tier 2-3): remove bleeding and regain 20% HP after spending all AP from healer and target (target must be 1 hex close to him) <once per battle? or resurrecting dead battle brother with 1 HP?>

    Bodyguard (Defence Skill, Tier 2-3): take hit instead of other (target must be 1 hex close to him) battle brother

    I agree that you should think about mounted combat. It’s difficult to implement but it could be icing on the cake :)
    Horseman should have different move options (gallop, trot) and can’t stop easily plus can trample enemy. Movement should give bonus to damage.

    Tactic formations is “the must have” option. Maybe instead of free placement we can choose tactic like: line formation, edge formation, skirmish formation, circle formation and we can mark our battle brothers for different role in such formation like: shieldman, marksman, supporter?

    I like the idea of camp followers, you can buy them in different places, towns, villiges, etc.

    There should be:
    1. blacksmiths:
    1a. blacksmith apprentice (quicker repair)
    1b. handyman (cheaper repair)
    1c. blacksmith master (better quality (or value))
    2. suppliers:
    2a. wagon master (more space for items)
    2b. equerry (quicker road movement)
    2c. cook (food lasts longer)
    3. healers:
    3a. field medic (wound after battle is lower)
    3b. nurse (quicker healing)
    3c. surgeon (there is little chance to rescue dead battle brother)

    4a. looter (loot are less damage)
    4b. daughter of Corinth (morale bonus)
    4c. dog (he can detect enemy from longer distance)

    It would be nice to work for different (opposite to each other) factions and change their attitude for our band of brothers by making quest.
    I would gladly see some factions like loyalists (supporting the King), revolutionaries (against the King), the Holy Church (in the middle). Such faction would give us rather storyline quests than generic quests. What do you think about it?

    I would add Longsword (one of the most universal weapon)
    It provide less damage than real Two-hander but bonus to defence and it’s also two-handed.
    Perks:
    1) riposte (better than arming sword)
    2) half-sword (less damage but can penetrate/avoid armor)
    3) murder stroke (can stun enemy like mace with pummel)
    4) normal attack.

    I’m also against farming resources to craft better equipment, it would ruin the game spirit.
    But I think that weapons and armours should have different quality. This quality should provide bonus -/+ 0-5 damage or -/+ 0-10 accuracy for weapons and -/+ 0-20 bonus for armours. In bigger cities equipment should have better quality and in small villages worse.

    I love random aspect in everything in Battle Brothers :) Character generator would kill it! I would even go further and give random traits after level up (only we could choose branch of trait tree)! :)
