    Alps shouldn’t scale in numbers more than 3 or 4. Above that, they should be paired up with other enemies as a way to scale their power into the lategame. Otherwise, their AOE sleep mechanics break the game.

    If there’s 6 alps that all get to move one after another and their sleep is AOE, each can sleep 2 people and the entire company is dead in 1 turn. No way to wake ally then. Maybe that’s what Lucas meant?

    I agree, the old retreat with deaths made the game better. It feels dirty to be surrouneded by orcs from all sides, press retreat and survive with a stubbed toe or some other minor injury.

    HP are actually a very good stat, I had some 50 HP lategame superawesome guys in plates that got 2-shot by goblins that stab through armor x.x

    Initiative though… very hard sale

    Why would you EVER balance the game around ppl who save scum RusBear? In the end they can reload until they win anyway, right? So how would you even attempt to balance it? Pointless.

    Also, initiative is a useless stat at the moment, even with the dodge perk we were bnrainstorming on my stream and never could come up with a reason why would anyone want to level initiative.

    My suggestion for fixing it: make initiative increase your chances of dodging out of combat when you’re trying to run away from enemies in base contact.

    Good job you just discovered that shooting enemies before slashing them is better than doing nothing and then slashing them. Shouldn’t it be?
