Ned StarkParticipant
Number 9. I believe has been addressed a day after your post, so, in case you missed it by chance:
The next update uses a different color for footprints and has contract-related footprints stand out a bit.
The obituary could use more information like this. If you’d remove one column for the scrollbar, I think it’d be “losses”, as losses might be miscounted anyway when a mercenary falls on the field of battle but is found alive after that battle. Well, unless one would count that battle as a victory for that mercenary, even though they spent some time facedown in the blood and mud.

Me: "That's not true, and my short axeman is living proof!"Ned StarkParticipantI’d agree, some very needed, and some easy to fix improvements are mentioned here.
I think I can honestly only add one suggestion.
7. Buy-Sell price in tooltip
Because sometimes the current price on the item’s icon is not clearly visible –
Adding price to the tooltip makes sure noone misreads it; besides, we have a free space there which we can efficiently use.
If there was an addition of a shaded box behind the yellow (or white could be used) digits of what an item cost, then you wouldn’t need to hover over it to read it clearly in the first place.
8. Current LVL of Bros in post-battle screen
…
Though this suggestion could be solved in a completely different way with introduction of obituary..
I do believe I’ve read somewhere that there was going to be the addition of a “Memorial”. A place where you can view the stats of your best fighters. Though, I admit, I would like knowing on the spot who exactly that it was that is now missing their head.

Where we will be able to see all details, including the enemy’s chance to hit your mercenaries and all modifiers of enemy’s perks and abilities (with numbers) that influence on it.
This, I would also really like.

Me: "That's not true, and my short axeman is living proof!"Ned StarkParticipantThere isnt much you can do about it at this point. In order to be effective against direwolves you need to have a full party armed and armored at least with the raiders grade of weapons and armors (that is medium level). Direwolves cant really do much against fully armored bros.
You possibly ventured too deep off the road or something.
It was a road that led a little ways through some woods to get to my quest delivery village. My 1st real contract, I think.

Me: "That's not true, and my short axeman is living proof!"Ned StarkParticipantAh, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!
Perhaps if time allows, add such a note (e.g, “You cannot currently see this target!”) when a brother is trying to attack an enemy that he cannot see.
As always, I’m impressed by the speed of your responses, Rap. The speed and attention that you give the players of your game certainly sets you and your team apart from other dev. teams I know…
Keep up the great work!

January 2017 at 11:50 in reply to: Oleg the Lucky's Illustrious Career of Crippling Injuries #18868Ned StarkParticipantThough not quite living up to Oleg’s standards, Sigbold also took quite a beating. Notably, Sigbold was found alive after a goblin ambush that left an excellent fighter dead in his unscratched, undented armor (f***ing goblin ambushers and their f***ing puncture knife attacks).
Glory to Oleg.

I think I’ll have my bowmen carry spears in their inventories from now on.
Handling direwolves on day 4 is hard, but I think if I had my ranged units equip spears during the battle (since I couldn’t react as the wolves jumped me from in the forest at night), and had the front ranks shield bash the wolves back, then I could have the ranged units help with the spearwall, and let the direwolves do all the damage themselves.
I believe that my ranged units were more of a hindrance as I first used them, because they had to line up a shot (that’d likely miss, low accuracy + night) with the enemy backed up so that they didn’t shoot my own troops (which doesn’t happen without shieldbash or my pitchfork-er, as direwolves are faster than all of my day 4 men), and lastly, the ranged units only had knives once the direwolves closed in on them.
I’ve always been throwing away the basic wood club. Now that I think about it, the basic wood club could have helped in this fight too.
At least I have some more ideas when dealing with wolves. Hopefully I’ll get to use these ideas after day 4 next time…
Thanks all.

Me: "That's not true, and my short axeman is living proof!"Ned StarkParticipantYou do not need to apologize, it’s my fault – my English is very bad. I will try to speak more clearly: the shield bonus continues to operate even when the enemy flees from the battlefield.
Perhaps the bonus should be reduced, but unless the character drops the shield, I suppose that it is still possible for the shield to block some kind of attack, whether it is intentional to block it or not.
