    We will tackle that issue during the worldmap rework. I know its pretty absurd that there arent even snow tiles in the tactical combat right now, but this will be adressed and we want to push it as far as we can.

    If you are looking for a real fight, you should seek out these new locations:

    Orc Fortress

    Bandit Fortress

    Goblin Fortress

    Perhaps we’ll even see other races as Skeletons; not just human skeletons?

    I am not really decided on this one, but will probably stick with humans for now. For the sake of a lower workload :)

    I feel pretty much the same. The zombies profited a lot from the battle brothers and bandit reworks, as they are basically using the same assets. On top of that they got new hair and beards.
    The skeletons on the other hand will get a completely new and unique look as they’ve spent hundreds of years in the ground and may originate from a variety of ancient cultures.

    I am still in the conceptional phase, but I’ll show something soonish :)

    When the update finally hits it will be the whole new game it seems.

    Absolutely, even though the undead rework will not make it into the goblin update.
    We want to take some time to properly revisit all undead units and make sure the faction as a whole can keep up with the newer ones.

    do some grey-skinned orcs as well for variety

    Hey Asterix,
    we will have some code driven variations in saturation of the orcs which randomly have more greenish or more greyish colors.
    Problem is, we cant go too far with that or the teeth, tongue etc will all turn grey as well.
    Alternatively I would have to handcraft more color variations which would be possible, but that also means painting the according dead bodies etc.

    I have to be careful with my time, but I’ll see what I manage to achieve ;)

    As a little sneak peek here are some of the new orc armors for young, berserk and warrior.
    There will be 3-4 sets of equipment for each Orc Type.

    Any chance of throwing the odd bascinet or barbut in?

    Of course I considered these, but thought they appeared pretty late (1400+). If you have any infos on their first appearance I might reconsider :)

    Will we get some kind or headwear for lumberjacks as well, like headband?

    The problem with headbands (and all open helmets/hats for that matter), is that at the moment the “helmet layer” replaces the “hair” layer. We would have to adjust the whole system to make both layers visible at the same time. May be we will do this eventually so we can have proper hats and half open helmets with the hair showing.
