Thanks !!! Those are so awesome.
Well done Zensalin
OMG!!!! That’s amazing!!!!! Can someone make me some holy crusader type avatar? I’d really appreciate it. I’ll try to do my best following your instructions to make it my own, but I’m not sure if I’m capable :P
I tried 2 avatars, I think the second one is more close to the original cross?
It’s more like a Knight of Saint John (because of black and white).
I hope you like one. ^^
Can I have Geralt of Rivia clone wearing direwolf armor without hat please? XD
I couldn’t really decide myself, so I am just going to attach the 4 creations I have made. I hope you like one. ^^
Here is a better try from me. changed the color of the Sergants sash too.
Looks good, well done!

I am not a dev, so I can’t answer your initial question, but I want to ask you one!
Did you simply rename the files themselfs or did you actually edit them? If so: How/with what did you decompile/edit the scripts?
I’m asking because, if I would be able to read out various things of the scripts (like unique weapon stat ranges, background stat ranges, event info, etc.) I could turn some “guesswork” on the wiki into untouchable facts by reading the data out.
I’m polishing goblin’s fluff. Not gonna touch stats and gears until the game is released.
Perfect, go ahead!
I will start writing down events and new quests as they happen and add them when I can.
Great, the “Events” and “Contracts” pages would be perfect for this: http://battlebrothers.wikia.com/wiki/Events
Seems like I can’t load the editor, so I won’t be able to help with this wiki. Shared it on the melee weapons page but here’s a screenshot of the 2-handed cleaver in it’s glory:
So you weren’t able to edit http://battlebrothers.wikia.com/wiki/Cleavers ? That’s odd.
May I ask which browser you were using?
Only a small issue with alignment (helmet just a few pixels shifted, I think) and some minor issues with white pixels inside the pic (around the sash), nothing too major.
One or two tries more and it will be fully complete. :)
Greetings, Brothers and Sisters who will read this!
As the game is going to be released in 5 days, I want to appeal you all folk to lend a hand and help out at the wiki, so once the game is released, new players (and veterans and other players) will instantly have a place to go to when wanting quick information.
Help wherever you want (http://battlebrothers.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_Brothers_Wikia) and/or take a look at the To-do list (http://battlebrothers.wikia.com/wiki/To-do_list), if you want more specific info on what needs to be done.
Thanks for reading!
Most of the stuff/assets I need I get from the “entity” named files in the gfx folder of data001. I either simply copy the assets I need or save them as new images for later use.
I then open a new image (size 150×150 pixel), put the copied or saved pieces into the new pic as different layers, vertically mirror them (so they face right), align them correctly and merge the pic at the end.
It’s actually pretty easy until that point. “Why until that point?”
Well the assets are all too big for a 80×80 pic (which is the perfect avatar size for the forums here), so I had two options:
Either start with a 80×80 pic right away and shrink the layers all on their own (which is crap, because it’s way more time consuming to change the size of every layer itself, than simply creating a new image at all, in my opinion).
I use the finished 150×150 pic as source. Meaning: I open a new picture with size 80×80, then copy the 150×150 picture into the 80×80 and shrink it to fit the 80×80 size (this way, the proportion and resolution of the avatar assets stay fine).
Like that, I end up with two pics per avatar at the end.
In fact, it is pretty easy. I had very little knowledge when I started and didn’t need many tries for my first, own avatar.
Of course, my dear loci, after reading what happened to thy desperate bones, I decided to do my best, to make you overcome what has once happened to you.
Please find your new self attached, your bones have been polished, but sadly, your old hood has been lost as the game has progressed.
I hope my work is to your liking, sir.
Thanks! I just search the stuff like armor, helmet and face from the game files, copy them, put them together into a single image and align them.
Yours is attached. I had to cut some of the feathers on top or else the avatar would have been too small.
Or Bandicam (I think cornishknight uses that one), LoiLo Game Recorder (extremely easy to use) or eLecta Screen Recorder (never heard that one before) and many more.
The above mentioned are just some examples of programs that show up if you type a search into google, there’s loads of stuff to choose from.
Additionally, you already more or less had an answer to this question through a statement out of the FAQ:
Will there be mod support?
Yes, we’d like to support modding eventually. However, our resources are limited and our priority is in creating the best possible core game first. It could be a while until modding becomes possible, if at all, and we can’t make any promises at this time.
So the most important things are answered:
Is it gonna happen? Maybe.
When? They aren’t sure.
