East themed DLC would be expectable.
xterminal86ParticipantBTW, have you guys though about adding some unique skills to certain backgrounds? For example, said nomads like to spam sand in your face during battles, so why when you recruit a guy with nomad background you can’t do the same? Kinda unfair.
xterminal86ParticipantI dunno, I think with addition of southern city-states the game became less difficult. I’m not even bothering to go north anymore, all the hustling and the good stuff is in the South: good prices, lots of cheap recruits with no daily pay, Arena (why not add it to the North as well?) etc. Also nomads are little weaker than brigands. And southern caravans actually have normal guards that don’t just stand there naked.
xterminal86ParticipantDon’t want to create another topic for such small issue, so I just post it here.
I noticed that in latest DLC, when you are pursuing an enemy party after you press “Fall Back” on engagement screen the delay after which enemy party continues moving is severely decreased. Probably that was made intentionally, but I would like to suggest to revert it back to the way it was before, because it was one of the very few ways to force enemy group into fighting together with someone else (e.g. you are pursuing brigands and noble house regiment is also pursuing them behind you, so to force noble house regiment to fight with you against brigands previously you do this “Fall Back” – “Attack” – “Fall Back” trick until noble house catches up with you).
I understand that this might seem kinda cheating but the game is hard enough as it is and there are very few times when you can actually battle against somebody with allies on your side.
xterminal86ParticipantYeah, I agree. Besides, even now the score that you see when you retire is kinda out of the blue: there are no hints or explanations of how this score is calculated. I know that it’s related to the retirement day (the earlier the retirement, the higher the score) and to the number of bros hired. But apart from that nothing.
xterminal86ParticipantWhat about experience gain if enemy surrenders?
xterminal86ParticipantGood idea, but I’m not sure about low fatigue, since it’s the key attribute for an archer. And I wouldn’t debuff him via “Old” trait in the future, like in Swordmaster’s case.
xterminal86ParticipantSabre fencing is all about riposte: how about adding “Riposte” skill for Shamshir instead of “Decapitate” (or maybe alongside it, as a third skill) and maybe buff it up a bit, like have increased hit chance for it, greater than for swords?

xterminal86ParticipantYep, Legends mod already has option of “make map initially hidden” on and it works really well – it’s nice to have this “exploration feeling” on.
Not sure about fog of war, that probably would be too annoying.
xterminal86ParticipantI second that – Legends mod proved that feature more than useful, especially if you’re playing Ironman where you just can’t afford to spend lots of crowns on a sellsword or a swordmaster only to get a guy with 3 stars in some dump stats instead.
You can raise tryout cost, if you think that this feature will be too “cheating”, but I don’t think it needs that.xterminal86ParticipantI don’t think it’s an issue at all, at least given the current state of things.
There’s no mod support in vanilla and there are no plans for adding one, as I understand.xterminal86ParticipantI’m Russian and I don’t care. :-)
Besides, I think there is fan-made translation available already.
6. March 2019 at 09:16 in reply to: Quality of Life we desperately need with Viking expansion #24416xterminal86ParticipantI think map creation parameters should be tuneable, like in Legends mod.
xterminal86ParticipantI beg to differ.
I think the way forest is so “randomly” generated makes it an ideal place to overcome strong and numerous opponents, for example.
You can use those bottlenecks to deal with one enemy at a time.
It can give you that little amount of advantage you lack and need against this particular opponents, who you’d have no chance of defeating in open combat.xterminal86ParticipantI’m not sure if it’s a good idea, actually, but how about introducing the possibility of raising talent star in Training Hall?
The cost can scale with recruit’s background / base stat value. -
