P.S. Is there any chance of us getting back some various-color paint on metal armors, or at least the helmets?
I had a little chat about this with the other guys yesterday and it’s still a possibilit that I will manage to squeeze in some painted helmets.
Is that the only legendary set currently in the game?
No, there is one more helmet, one more armor and one accessory in the game. Nobody found them yet as far as I know.
9. March 2017 at 13:36 #20228ShadowParticipantThe Emperor’s armour looks positively godly! Fantastic work.
Now, I’ve a question, which might be a bit of a stretch, Paul. Assuming you have the working PSDs (if you use Photoshop for the final instance of your work) of the company banners, could you eventually provide all the existing default banner designs but in plain white, say, in PNG? I mean, all the standards with shaded cloth and grime but on a white flag, in all the various shapes you’ve devised.
This would be for modding purposes, given anyone with some GIMP/Photoshop knowledge would be able to use said files as a template to generate more banners with different heraldric art.

9. March 2017 at 15:45 #20236PsenBattleKeymasterHey Shadow,
I don’t have the the time to create proper templates, so you’ll have to work with the original files.
I never work in black and white, so all of the banners are colored already. Nevertheless it should be possible to create new banners with the provided assets.
The files may be a bit crowded at first glance, but I’m sure you’ll figure them out :)Cheers!

Not gonna spoil anything :)
9. March 2017 at 17:11 #20241arteofwarParticipantAs much as it pains me to say this, thanks for not spoiling the surprise. I found a different looking goblin city. Instead of a underground tunnel city or small fortress, it is built in a larger ancient fortress. I wonder if this is one of them. I like to uncover all the places on the map before I start raiding so I haven’t attacked it yet. I like to take pics of the map before it gets destroyed which is why I haven’t attacked the black monolith yet even though I found it but now I am dying to have the emperor’s armor. I am guessing since there is one undead legendary set, there is probably a greenskin one as well. Maybe you get the other one if you reach immortal fame. Anyway, great work on the emperor’s armor, I would think it would even make the noble houses jealous.

hahaha its a covered question for more color variants ;)The white-black is a faction troops versions with tabard. You can’t loot(they revert to normal one) or buy them. I think the blue-white can be bought.
9. March 2017 at 20:34 #20257Human WarlordParticipantHey paul whats dat? Will we finally be able put a challenge to gheists?
And i seen second legendary armor its terrifying!10. March 2017 at 00:14 #20267ShadowParticipantHey Shadow,

Wow, I had totally underestimated the level of craftsmanship! Such supreme attention to detail!
But with enough digging and tinkering, I suppose I could produce something template-like, more universal and perhaps more editable by those of us who are less enlightened. :P
10. March 2017 at 00:56 #20271Human WarlordParticipantHey paul can you please say how to modify size cell in entity_0 and same files? The trouble is each texture is restricted by borders (bitmaps?) and i realy want to draw my retextures but this restriction is realy limiting me. So please tell me what to do if i dont asking too much of course.
I encountered this in many games, really tiring figuring out how game files works. Maybe the borders encoded in this files (entity_0.brush)?10. March 2017 at 11:40 #20290PsenBattleKeymasterThe white-black is a faction troops versions with tabard. You can’t loot(they revert to normal one)
Exactly, they can be looted like any other armor, but they loose their tabbard.
Hey paul can you please say how to modify size cell in entity_0 and same files?
Hey Warlord,
to be honest I dont have the slightest idea about the technical details here, I just paint and provide the assets :)
Our Programmer is totally busy right now, but I think we can talk in some more detail when things calm down a little.Cheers!
10. March 2017 at 12:35 #20296SuperCaffeineDudeParticipantI agree with what someone said earlier, seeing your pictures in high-res really makes me appreciate the level of detail you’ve put in. That roman-esk suit is super bloody cool though, how long does an armour set like that take Paul?
If battle-brothers was able to support mods, I’d totally love to give it a shot in my spare-time, especially if I don’t have to access the matrix to do it lol.
But look forward to seeing the over two armours, though that armour has set the bar quite high :p
10. March 2017 at 16:21 #20322MaximusParticipantGreetings to Paul! I have a few questions. Will new faces be added? What happened to the mercenary women? What happened on the battlefields in the camps (cemeteries, castles)? From such fields the battles were abandoned? (I remember you showed the developments for such battlefields back in June last year)

Including search for reference etc around 2-3 workdays.
Will new faces be added?
I think the existing ones have to suffice for launch. In a perfect world I would just add more of everything.
What happened to the mercenary women?
We had a lot of internal discussion on that. We still think it would add a lot to the game, but as you all know we are working on a very tight schedule. Apart from graphical assets and audio recordings we have a problem with all the quest and event texts in the game. Most of them are randomly generated and refer to certain persons of your party. If we had female mercs we would have to go through all of the text (more than 200 000 words) and assure that everything works for male and female persons and provide different variations of the same text for each gender.
Thats a lot of work we cant spend right now unfortunately. What happened on the battlefields in the camps
As you know i already spent some work on that and for me personally its the only thing I really regret not getting into the game in time.
There are two big issues with combat objects. First its the depiction of multi-tile objects which is something our engine is not capable of without some veryt tricky and time consuming workarounds.
Secondly think about how tedious fights in the forests already are. A graveyard with lots of tombstones would basicaly become a maze to navigate und take away from the fluid combat experience of an open field.Apart from these issues we would totally love to have these combat objects, but just did not have the time to do so.
