    Hi Trig,
    all these Banners were created using our future banner customization tool wich players will be using when starting a new game.
    They consist of the following parts:
    Banner shape, Base color, Pattern Color, Main emblem, secondary emblem.
    All Emblems have to be combinable with all banner shapes and with all color patterns, otherwise a lot of work will go to waste when painting special emblems which work only in combination with certain color patterns.
    Of course these banners dont look as intriguing and as authentic as if i had painted them by hand.

    When I start working on the final Banner generator I’ll consider your points and maybe change some of the set up to allow for more authentic combinations.

    Different movement speeds are already on our to-be-discussed-when-and-how list :)
    I like the approach of not just tuning up the game speed, but really make your men move faster at the expense of provisions. Could be very helpful sometimes *cough* werwolves *cough*

    To be honest I’m a bit unsure here. Would a travelling band of mercenaries use the heraldic rules of the nobility to paint their company banner? Or would they just go with the most “awesome” design they can come up with?
    Do you have any ressources on historic mercenary bands/banners? Even if they dont really match the period it would be helpful.

    And some kind of updated “features to come” list would be good, so that we don´t again and again suggest things you already have on your plans 😉

    Its really about time as we get the same suggestions over and over again. But no matter how much we like certain ideas we cant just put them on our agenda. First we have to put together a solid and reasonable roadmap.
    We dont want to make false promises, so we have to take a bit of time to create this list before we show it.

    We have to test your patience a little bit more :)

    Hey Dragonovith,
    lots of good ideas here. Many of these are actually similar to the so called “event system” which is very high up on our next-things-we-do list.
    On top of that:
    Non-combat companions for the player party are planned (Smith, healer, hunter etc etc).
    Customization of characters is a big discussion topic and we have not yet decided if or how to implement such a feature.
    Fame/reputation system is also planned.
    More diverse and dynamic contracts are on our list as well.

    As you can see, we’ve got this ;)

    There have been some discussions about starting with a new group in an already existing world, but as it is not really a core feature, we may consider it some time later in the development process.

    Some of the armors include tabards, like the coat of plates or the heraldic coat of plates.
    Personally id like to add them to be worn over your armor just for the looks.
    This probably brings a bit of coding and ui work with it, so i have to push it past my two fellow developers first ;)

    Just mentioning: as we get a lot of feedback and cool ideas we will sit down together and discuss the main features for the final game. Cant tell you anything concrete yet but we will update you on the final game vision soonish :)
    So just bear in mind we cant say yes or no right now to every suggestion. Just keep them coming!

    Regarding duels: of course we want them to be fought on a mini- combatmap!

    Yeah i randomly colored some of the helmets. We implemented them but later i had to re-do and reorganize most of the helmets and didnt want to invest the time for colored versions until we are sure that everything works.

    Ill implement lots of colored helmets once i have some free time. I still think its awesome as i drew a lot of inspiration from the morgan bible.

    Hey, here are some quick notes:
    Enemies fight one another (orcs vs undead etc) but they dont yet fight within their faction (orcs vs orcs). Each spawnpoint has its own banner and all parties spawned there have the same banner.
