    I think it just means being able to load a save file while in combat, rather than having to quit to the main menu.

    That’s exactly what it means. Should have worded that better.

    Very interesting discussion going on in here. This is our stance: We will not add a saving feature to combat because a) it does not fit our design goals, and b) it would cost us a lot of time which we’d rather invest into more important things, and things which we want to have in the game in the first place. Adding a loading feature from combat, on the other hand, is something we’ll eventually do simply for convenience.

    The orc charge has a high chance to stun, but it can be lowered by equipping a good shield and further lowered by using the shieldwall skill prior to impact.

    That was brave of you. I’d really like to help, but unfortunately I don’t know what could cause the black screen for you.

    Maybe try disabling any anti-virus program before running the game?

    There isn’t enough space currently. You can see their title when hovering over them, though, both on the battlefield and in the turn sequence bar.

    Have you tried running the game with admin rights and/or in compatibility mode?
    Can you try disabling Aero in Windows before running the game?

    There were a few incompatibilities with the demo which have since been addressed, but I don’t believe this applies to your case.

    Another issue that i don’t like is retreating mechanic. It should be more realistic, your mercenaries should retreat only when they are next to end of map and only if there are no enemy close to them. Retreating should be treated for any battle brother separately. In this case you should sacrifice few of your battle brothers to give opportunity to run away for other brothers. It is more heroic and realistic than now.

    That’s the way it works already. Move your guys to the edge of the map and hit retreat – everyone on the edge will safely do so. Anyone not on the edge of the map has a high chance of not making it out alive.
