We thought about this and it also has been requested before. Thing is, this will give you a really crazy early game advantage to the point where the game is not a challenge anymore. A decked out level 10 merc can singlehandedly wipe whole groups of bandits. This is very hard to balance.

We are aware that the map can feel a bit empty at times but we we have a boquet of new content and ideas to add to the worldmap to give the player more to do and make it more alive. You just have to give us more time. Right now with the high number of players bugs pop up that we never experienced before so we have to squash those first before moving back to adding new content.

you can retreat safely when all your Brothers are right at the edge of the battlefield. Then nobody will die.
The bbpress wont allow html files for some reason. Can you copy the log into a textfile? Or you can send it to contact@overhypestudios.com (please attach what you have written above so we know it is your log file ;))
JaysenKeymasterHi, we have a lot of reports of this error. It started happening right after the previous update and we quickly fixed the problem so new saves should work as normal. It seems that saves made inbetween the two updates do not work. Terribly sorry for this!

Could you maybe try what Tomme suggested (admin rights) and if that does not help zip the html file so it can be uploaded? The forum unfortunately does not allow html and that can not be changed. We will hopefully sort you out as soon as possible!

Maybe we go with a kind of warning message when leaving loot behind. Changing the UI is very risky with the Launch 1 day away and we are very cautios of creating new bugs.

Those are some really great ideas flying around here. I especially like the concept of more neutral, smaller, locations like farms and mines that add more life and opportunities to the strategic worldmap. Also the idea of offering new and more contracts at those locations is great.
A quick disclaimer: We are reading all of this and carefully taking notes! As the Early Access Launch draws nearer we have a lot of communication to do on a lot channels so please do not be discouraged if we can not answer immediately.
JaysenKeymasterNice idea, we actually had planned a skill similar to this for shields. One that helps protect a character on an adjacent tile. With this you could increase the defense of the other guy instead of your own defense like you do it with shieldwall. However, it turned out that this mechanic is so extremely situational that you will use it only very rarely. So we put it back on the idea-shelf for later. We want all skills in the game to be really useful and meaningful and this one just did not fit in. We still have it in the back of our heads, though ;)

We will definitely add more details like that as the game goes on, i especially like the breath cloud idea ;)We already added some stuff like this on the worldmap with the clouds and now flocks of birds (didnt show them yet). So we are on this! It will add a lot more atmosphere to the game.
