Yes, finally I can create the Men in Tights in battle brothers, but this time they don’t win against the Sheriff of Nottingham. This time they get crushed and and killed by Orc Warriors.

What about making the Ancient priests crowns lootable as treasures, would be a good way to counter the high risk – low reward problem. Digging the new vampires, will they cooperate with the ancient dead or have some kind of “helpers” by the way?

Wow Psen, really digging the new ghouls. Will there be a female one or do both genders have the same appearance? Also will they have some kind primitive culture like small stone cairns and tree paintings or are they simply beasts?

Also I really agree one the orcs & goblin, people really seem to want them to be lotro or warhammer instead of being kind of unique. I think you should have named them Thurs (orcs) and Alfar (goblins) just to have a go with the fantasy conservatives.

Btw will the lore book be done when BB leaves EA or will it come at a later time?

    Cheers, Eldar

Considering the banners of the wiedergängers, will we meet “returned” mercenaries companies? Because if were just going by my earlier attempts at deadly, the lands should be littered with failed soldiers of fortune … ;)

Amazing work as always Psen! I guess the banners are as following:

    1: Orcs

    2: Goblins

    3: Wiedergänger heer

    4: Ancient dead

Really love the goblin banners and the bascinet in game is awesome!

    Name: Widowmakers

Banner: Naked woman with tears in her eyes, on a gray background.

Bit cliché but this shows a what kind bastards this free-company is. They are a rag-tag bunch mostly consisting of former serfs, deserters, bandits and a very few disgraced free-knights. This is the reason they have chosen to have a fierce name beacuse they wanted to hide the fact that they are not much more than organized rabble. This is also why they are sporting a grey banner, not because they wanted to but because it was the only thing at hand.

Slowly they have been getting renown as a company of dread after surviving the frontlines as a sacrficial pawn. The woman on the banner was sewn in after a raid of a minor lordlings estate, taken directly from a tapestry from main halls.

Looks great, going to make battles much more immersive.

The undead also looks great and is it a falx I see?

Funny thing is False, Faalsee, could really be a germanic name. I did’nt even consider faulty coding at first just lack of capital letter. Would’nt really trust a delivery contract to a man called False tho.

Now this is’nt really linked to OPs question but more to us who answered. Do you specialize your BBs to fight against a typical kind of enemy? For example my ant-goblin squad gets rekt by undead. And my heavy saxon shieldwall guys have major problems with goblins sometimes.

Mod: Feel free to remove if it’s too OT.

Great news with the other mercs! Nothing like some city-state style merc on merc action. Why risk your own hide when you can fight by proxy. ;)

Goblins are a fun bunch. Until I understood the tactics they utilize my warbands where stuck down like pin cushions and scattered in the wind.

The thing with goblin are that they are infact puny in the defensive department. As soon as you understand that the normal tactics won’t work you’re getting somwhere.

RusBear wrote down some of the tactics, I will expand on the list.

First of all – Be prepared. If your lads gonna rock the shield, use kite shields. Fatigue plays a big part in huntig them down. So try not have the heavist armour. Also use dogs to hunt down marksmen.

My own favourite tactic is to turn their own tactic agains them. Light infantry and nets, but the most effective thing against imho is crossbows. Crossbows are a bloody godssend against them. Three crossbowmen and a tacky frontline can decimate goblins in a mere turn.

Damn, things are just looking better and better! Great work.

Don’t know if this is the right place to ask this but will there be “held” banners for the Battle Brothers and will there be other mercenaries about in the world of BB?

That’s great! If we get battle-sisters one could try to do the Band of the Hawk.
