Devs are planning Vampire revamp. At least their art is gonna get updated, but we might hope for some bigger changes (eg. I proposed few different kinds of vampires)
Currently things stand as you said. Vampires are just another mob who doesn’t care about daylight. Still, we should remember that Battle Brothers lore might highly differ from any other vampires we know.
gepardowatyParticipantThose new “ancients” are looking freaking cool. Same with the banners.
With all the new zombies, ancient dead and other stuff, necromancers and vamps look pretty outdated.
How about a little vampire rework? Maybe introducing few different species of bloodsuckers? You know, some kind of strigoi, nosferatus and more “human-like” ones with grand equipment and supernatural skills. That would definitely justify a place for more future female characters on the enemy side :>
I’m not talking about addition of 10 different clans or some other twillight bullshit, but just a few different species with unique abillities(like in eg. The Witcher)
That would definitely change Vampires to become their own, scary faction. Also, battle events with vampires that could be filled with thralls (simple humans) who serve them. For now they are really… “meh”.IMO that would make all the monster hunting even more diverse. Plus, just imagine the equipment you could draw for those more “civilized”, aristocratic vampires. :P
1. September 2016 at 14:17 in reply to: [Beta patch] Perks that dont exist but should be in game #16907gepardowatyParticipantSerpent Friend – reduces the effect of poison on you
Immunized: poison no longer impairs your combat abilities, and, on the first occasion on which poison enters your veins in a battle, you gain an additional 6 action points and a 25% increase in damage on your next turn.I don’t think it should be a perk. Not really that useful, but could be a good trait from random event/randomly given on hire. Latter is much more useful, but still – VERY occasional.
Beyond Call of Duty – makes you immune to morale damage
Little OP If you’d ask me. You’d just get this on all guys, boosting them with alcohol and voila. Bunch of terminators on the battlefield.
Others are very cool ideas, I must say. Personally, I’d love to see abundance of perks to choose from. Those which trigger while your character has taken a lot of damage are also very good.
My idea:
Last Resort – If your character is below 25% hit points, he can run away without triggering attacks of opportunity from enemies next to him.
26. August 2016 at 02:23 in reply to: [Beta patch] Allow us to see recruit's stats for god's sake… #16717gepardowatyParticipantI like the fact that I don’t know stats of people who I’m hiring and there is that “random” factor.
If you’d show the stats of battle brothers, their professions become basicly a fluff noone would even care about, hiring the best guys out there. If you want to min-max, savescum. This game is loosely inspired by UFO games, and even the nu-xcom ain’t showing soldier stats. That’s actually very good design choice for such game.
BUT, they could add some kind of option to evalute “talents” of some brothers. Maybe as tips from the Innkeeper? Lets say that there is Ulfric The Beast on your potential recruit list. You should have an option to ask the Innkeeper about him for a few gold coins, so he tells you what he might know “yadda yadda yadda, Ulfric is pretty strong and he mastered the sword, I tell ya!”
Or just more potential gossip about guys in a recruit list, so you might get an idea who’s a goldfish.gepardowatyParticipantVery nice. How much longer until beta branch? ;_; Can’t wait!
gepardowatyParticipantVery nice. Little work on details and shadows, and it could fit very well! I just hope that we would be able to mod such things into the game one day :3
gepardowatyParticipantACtually the Banshee beggar fits my vision about boatmen of styx as well :D Great job!
gepardowatyParticipantName : “Boatmen of Styx”
Banner : Shrouded figure with skeletal face, using paddle to navigate small boat.Mercenary company that ain’t afraid of dying, taking the name of those who bring souls to the other world by the mythical river Styx.
;-3
gepardowatyParticipantDamned we are.
Death we bring.
Forever and ever.
Until the end of times.Boatmen of Styx

Adding modding ASAP is a very good idea. Why? Devs might get some great ideas from modders and implement them like RimWorld guys did. Furthermore, modding community is another thing that brings a lot of new bloods in.
Personally, I can’t wait for modding support in BB. Even adding our own factions/equipment/sprites would change a lot.gepardowatyParticipantPersonally I don’t care about other continents.
It would be great if more noble houses might come to your map with invasion force at some point of the time, taking villages/cities and stuff. Imagine two houses breaking their feud just because of the common invader.
Times of war and establishing of new governments = more contracts.gepardowatyParticipantI really hope modding support will come up in your priority list some time soon, as i have a very strong urge to mod this game
Same here!
Also, do you guys thought about weapons like Estoc? Should fill a gap for penetrating one-tile two hander with rather low damage.
About armor – I absolutely adore all the unique stuff you’re producing Paul. How about some “face” helmets for “legendary” stuff? I don’t know, I simply love them for some reason.
