MalthusParticipant[…]
That would definitely change Vampires to become their own, scary faction. Also, battle events with vampires that could be filled with thralls (simple humans) who serve them. For now they are really… “meh”.Definitely this would be good.
I could imagine those vampires to be better organised. Think of those normal vampires we have right now as lower class vampires. They are dangerous nonetheless and they are immortal. Would they throw away their eternal life so easily? I think not. Not before they have thrown all their ghouls (could think of them as a vampires war dog) and their thralls (humans like bandits but more of the cultist kind) at you.
Then I could imagine a stronger version of vampire (you already had a alpha version that never made it into the game). It should be a rare and dangerous foe. And I have an interesting idea for a special ability. Vampires are all about blood. So why not add a little bit of blood magic to this?
So if one of his thralls or YOUR mercs dies he might reanimate ONE target at a time to be a “blood zombie” (there is definitely a better name for it out there). So what would be the difference to the normal zombie – necromancer connection? There can always only be one blood zombie per ancient vampire at any given time. This one zombie is buffed to be stronger than usual zombies BUT also dies when the vampire dies."I am a Paladin!"

"OK, OK! Then I´m a wrecked down minstrel drunkard pretending to be a paladin, singing so wrong in the midst of battle that even the undead run in fear... Better?!"
MalthusParticipantSo is this working as intended or is it a bug?
Because if it is working as intended it maybe should be explicitely mentioned that it does not negate actionpoint costs that don´t come from terrain.

MalthusParticipantThe Point is, if what you say is correct it should be explicitely stated in the text. Right now it reads like Movement costs are lowered by one on any terrain regardless to a minimum of two.

MalthusParticipantUnfortunately i cannot edit my earlier post so i have to post it again.
Paul, you said before that you wanted to have the mercenary banners to look more different from the noble banners. So the first thing that comes to my mind is: Are those mercs artists? Do they waste there hard earned money on artists to make them a professional banner? (with professional i mean cleanly sewn and very detailed motives)
I would think no, they would improvise something. Take an okayish looking piece of cloth handpaint something on it with whatever color you can find and mount is on a stick or cross. And then if your merc likes it very fancy decorate it with a small trophy you made on your adventures. This is how i came to my standard. I love what you did already but it would be even more awesome if i could get this as well :)

MalthusParticipantThis looks really promising. I enjoyed the new biomes in battle already and look forward to get my hands on those new site features when they are ready. But those multi tile features like the tent do come with double work as you have to do a second picture for the view from behind the tent when changing from the south to the north perspective. Just using the same graphic for the other perspective would feel kind of odd and immersion breaking. One second your merc would stand right before the entrance and then you change the view and he would be behind the tent.

MalthusParticipantI was looking for the old discussion about this but was not lucky enough to find it.
In my opinion the “Total War” way would be the best and most fittig. All Enemies are broken/ fleeing? Get a popup that lets you choose to chase them or end the battle. If you choose to fight on and later see you won´t get them you should be able to end the battle at any time. For this simply change the retreat button for an end battle button after you got the popup.

MalthusParticipantSadly, no save. I will look into this again when I get another one of these contracts.

MalthusParticipantYours are called White Wolves too? Damn I should have paid for that trademark xD
I have the same problem, when getting into a fight between a caravan and raiders.

MalthusParticipantIs Karnstein really a city? It does much more look like a big castle with some cottages around.

MalthusParticipantWill those buildings also have different versions depending on how well supplied the city is? This way you wouldn´t only read that this city is poor but see it on the first glimpse.

MalthusParticipantAnd they were pretty precise when in comes to the point what they wanted to be in their game regarding races and what definitely not.

MalthusParticipantI don´t want to sound rude, but you should really start to read the FAQ before posting such ideas. There won´t be elves or dwarfs.
They plan to expand the beast faction. So maybe there will be some monsters similar to these ratmen even though I don´t like them very much. Next thing will be Ninja Turtles, right?
