Bows can not be fired and crossbows be reloaded while engaged in melee.

I think the it’d sound better as,
“While engaged in melee, bows cannot be fired and crossbows may not be reloaded.”

I think this text from the image might be fine. The peddler could be implying that he only needs to purchase the goods from a single local.

I’ve been able to reproduce this bug by doing this:

    1) The enemy has begun to retreat (Although the dialogue pop-up has not shown up yet).

    2) I end all my mercenaries’ turns but the final mercenary of that turn round (since it’s just the last mercenary swapping his weapon or bringing up the inventory screen before the “The Enemy Retreats” dialogue pops up that causes this bug).

    3) Have the last mercenary move 1-2 spaces so that he has only 5 AP, then switch his weapon (this step may not be required).
Note: Automatic end turns is turned on in the options, so this may possibly be causing this bug (I’ll try further testing).

    4) Exit the inventory screen and if the “The Enemy Retreats” dialogue pop-up shows up, then you cannot click on either of the two buttons.

    1. Add bonus to shield “knock back” atack for the shield expert perk.

A higher percent chance to hit with shield knock back would make sense for shield experts.
I also think using a shield knock back on an enemy (With shield expert) would give them the “Stagger” state in this situation (The same one that is given to an enemy when you hit them with the two-handed hammer).

    2. Opportunity by alt or shift+click to add a trophy quivers to the total ammunition squad

This would be great. I very much would like to take the arrows and bolts from quivers that I loot in battle.

    3. Up polearm mastery by add % bonus to the melee def.

This can be done by selecting the Reach Advantage perk, can it not?

Fangshire is a unique legendary item, not a randomly generated named item…

From this I’d say that there’s two classes of items. Unique and specially created legendary items (Like Fangshire), and then there’s items like “Orc Warrior’s Cleaver”. To separate these classes of items, the legendary ones will be blue, and the randomly generated ones will be red. My guess is that the blue items will usually be much more powerful.

I’m not quite sure what the second part of this sentence is supposed to say:

Don’t switch between different kinds of pronouns when talking about the same subject.

Either change “his” to “their” (Recommended change, in case Battle Sisters are ever implemented).
Or change “them” and “their” to “him” and “his”.

This might be the same or a similar issue, so pardon me if it’s taken care of…

I just had this Bandit marksman move down from this elevated tile, back up this elevated tile, and back down this elevated tile again.

Not that it adds much to the bug report, but I’d like to boast that my crossbowman was able to finish off the donkey by missing the shot at the short green man (I was at least able to keep my word that I would not enemies destroy the caravan… as I did it myself).

so when the game comes out and the price has been adjusted will they be charging the people who already bought the game again? or will they let us have the full version?

This is a bit off topic for this post…

Anyway, if you’ve purchased the early access game and thus supported its development… when release time comes, no, you should not be charged an additional fee if/when the devs adjust the price of the game. At least this is how it’s been throughout my 4 years of playing Early access games through Steam.

Some areas you cannot see the enemy until you engage them. This is typically the case for non-quest fortresses or strongholds, as you mentioned above (engage at your own risk!).
Graveyards will tell you what kind of enemy you’ll face, but won’t show their strength.

    Hope this helps.

I believe that this is the same error, but I was instead shot by a Bandit Marksman while naked. Although this may be fixed, I thought I might post these here nonetheless.

    Sonuva…
When I finally thought Direwolves were getting easy…

My top crossbowman and my bottom pikeman got nommed before I could put up a defensive line. I didn’t yet have a skilled enough brother that could use Rotation or Footwork.

Now, however, I have the resources to seek out Impatient archers and pikemen, and that has helped considerably.

I’ve just come to the conclusion that Direwolves are the bane of early game players, as they are one of the few fights that you cannot always avoid or run from.
Well… that and those frickin’ Withered Vampires…

In my opinion, some games you simply need to start at a lower difficulty. I don’t think many people start playing X-COM on “Classic” difficulty. Also, FTL: Faster Than Light may be another example of this, if any of you have heard of this game (though FTL has a simple tutorial that lets you gain your bearings, and Battle Brothers just gives scenarios, then promptly drops you on your head).

Since I was more stubborn than a mule when I first started playing Battle Brothers, I did not ever start on Beginner, but instead had about 30 hours of death spiraling, as you mentioned above.

In short, once you learn how to play well, then I do not believe that Veteran is overwhelming so much as it is challenging.
I do believe that an actual tutorial should be added to the game though, hopefully with an option to enable/disable it.

I’d like to throw in my support for a portion of your point 2..

    You stated:

For example passive exp gain for low-level recruits even when in reserve…

I highly agree that in reserve, Battle Brothers should gain a small amount of XP per day. Perhaps 10, 25 or even 50xp a day, with maybe a larger xp gain in reserve depending on the difficulty level. I know that a Brother simply watching tactics unfold before them isn’t as valuable as being in the arena fighting, but still… I believe that there should be an xp gain in reserve.
