My mercenary that is already a cultist is trying to convert himself into a cultist, how does that even work? Here is a picture http://imgur.com/a/TG17a

Also other cultists are trying to convert him(Balthier the Piercer) into a cultist but he already is a cultist.

Ummm … do you happen to purposely recruit Cultists, Monks & Flagellants just because it’s fun to see if:
1.) You can keep them alive for any length of time.
2.) The fun times when they get to fighting and converting? ;-)
That’s one of my “basic builds”. I’m glad to see that the frequency of Cultists has risen in the final release. I may reform “Davkuhl’s Darlings” after all!

It may be normal in the terms of speed. But speed indicator behaviour is not correct. It should not allow changing speed to ‘normal’ via clicking.

Oops! Sorry. I misread the post. Since the camp speed was always “double time”, I never even tried to change it.

This has been the case since the game first came out. It was the only way to speed up “game time” before this update. Normal behavior.

Caveat: I’ve been playing on “Normal”. (I’m a coward by nature!) Also, my first party just got slaughtered by Necrosavants, so there’s a lot of the game I haven’t seen yet. (Remember: “losing is fun!”) Finally, I don’t pay much attention to the battle log. Overall, battles seem to work well.

1.) The morale checks are fine for me. I wouldn’t expect to be able to see a morale drop before the trigger happens. I can get a general idea by looking at the cute little mood faces and brother’s native traits.

2.) Whilst a very small cosmetic change, I appreciated seeing “Fangshire” has its nicely magical blue glow returned!

3.) It seems that crossbows got a little bit of a buff on accuracy, which I liked. Not enough to bring back the killer crossbowmen, but enough to make them useful again.

4.) I really like all the new touches that make everyday tasks so much easier! (“All right, you brothers! DOUBLE TIME, MARCH!” :-D )

Major annoyance: Even when relations are very friendly, prices remained extremely high in the one city I befriended. Prices dropped much more in smaller places that I didn’t help as much. Maybe this is because the cost of living tends to be higher in large cities? It was still annoying, because I hadn’t expected it. In the previous update, the prices would drop much lower.

Hope you spent at least some of that time enjoying a Guinness! ;-)

Pretty close, though it was a Flensburger Pilsener :)

That’s true, maybe I find the time when I actually start working on the digital artbook that supporters will get.

    Cheers!

1.) Flensburger Pilsener … that DOES sound tasty!

2.) Waiting as patiently as possible for the book (and game), in the meantime, my desktop is a slide show including much of the artwork you’ve kindly posted here! xD

Hehe actually THIS is the finished version, because the right hand side will always be covered with the retirement text.
I saved a few hours and didnt finish the picture to be honest.

    Cheers!

Hope you spent at least some of that time enjoying a Guinness! ;-) Best would be enjoying a Guinness whilst playing the New Update BattleBrothers! X-D

    Fixed.

Dang! I, for one, would love to have the random Weiderganger raising go awry! After all, just like any other attack, there should be a hit percentage, yes? Plus the thought of Weidergangers just standing about tickles my warped sense of humor! :-P

    company name: retreat master

story: after years of struggling, the veterans understood that an old mercenary never die, they just retreat properly. the very company name represent the wisdom of the old. once they enter a combat, our brave warriors pray to the god of coward, then the leader shout the magic war cry: “retreat!”, hearing this, his boys start to charge, to break the line, to slaughter the foe, or simply move straight to the border of the map as fast as they can. ooh mighty god of coward! another heroic victory ahead!

A company commander after mine own heart!

Well, Paul, if I can’t get a Skunk Banner [insert crying smiley here!], at least I get some awesome desktop graphics! [insert Happy! Happy! smiley here!] My daughter and I watched the “retirement” video, as she’s in high school and concentrating in art. She was very impressed, as I always am. Your style and talent are very appreciated in the whole household! Keep up the excellent work! (FWIW, besides the high schooler and me, household includes one w/ degree in Art History, one w/ Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Art Education, and one artist who never was able to finish the degree, so it can be a pretty hard audience.)

Interesting idea. However, the progress should be very, very slow. We really lack the natural weaponry a dog quickly develops, and smart as a dog is, there’s just no real comparison to a human. A one to one leveling system would be really unrealistic … even for low fantasy.

    we – can , they – shoudn’t…

Well said!! I’ve seen far too many games hurried out the door. One should never hurry the artist if you want a great work of art.

My plan is to put a lot of infos in the art book, just like the Keyvisual Blogpost. I’ve made 29 Progress shots of the keyvisual painting, so theres plenty to explain. It won’t just be a bundle of artworks. Can’t make any promises regarding the skun[k] though haha.

I’d be careful with this stuff. The whole “women” topic is already pretty explosive. Let’s not wake sleeping dogs haha.

    No skunk banner? :’-(
Still, there’s the artbook to look forward to!

I suppose you could take some inspiration from Eleanor of Aquitaine, who according to some (mostly discredited!) accounts led her portion of the 2nd Crusade at the head of a company of women all dressed as Amazons! Or just not allow women into the company at all. Although I’m still partial to women as specialized light missile troops in light armor. (I almost said “leather” but thought better of it! :-P ) And I like the idea of women as specialized healers in one/some of the reserve slots. But I think you guys burned those bridges long ago. After all, the name of the game is Battle Brothers!

While I really like the artwork of the new Key Graphic, could you please make the “Battle Brothers” like you have it in your “Nachzehrer sketch”? And brighten up the font color a bit? My attention is totally nailed by the dramatic backlighting, and the font colors are just too drab to stand out, no matter what else changes.

Also, I it would be really sweet to have a “digital artbook” that included the progress graphics from this thread. … and also a skunk banner for my mercs! :-P
