Hi JDCollie,
up to now we have a mechanic like that planned to find locations of legendary Artifacts once we implement that. We have to see how exactly it will work but “paying” for intel on the surrounding area sounds like a pretty sensible idea.PsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterHey Xoatl,
Thanks for the compliment.
Snow: we dont know yet how much work it would be to make the footprints disappear after a while. But we’d like to do that
If you need torches in a dungeon is also not decided yet. I honestly would say yes, otherwise it would be pitch black in there.Regarding the muscles: different textures would be easy allthough you’d only see them if the bro has no shirt on. Variations in body shape would also mean variations in the size of the according armor sprite on top of that. That would mean I’d have to adjust every armor to every body shape variation, thats a lot of wok. So that wont be happening ;)
PsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterHey Bruce,
thanks for the suggestion. I think theres room for a longsword in our weapon setup, but we would have to sharpen the profile a bit. We want every weapon to feel really distinct and (in the best case) fill a certain niche.
I would maybe go with a weaker twohander but with the reposte skill which basically would make it a hybrid between a one- and a twohanded sword.PsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterDual wielding was used generally for better defence. In Battle Brothers it should gives you better defence, and bonus to riposte. So forget about extra attack
Exactly my thoughts :)
PsenBattleKeymasterHey Sparker, thanks for the thumbs up!
Of course its pretty rare that dual wielding is left out in any medieval-fantasy game/movie/anything as it always looks cool and shows a lot of dynamic. On top of that its an easy way to create a third option besides sword+shield or twohanded weapon.
Despite this we decided to not implement dual wielding. The main reason for this is that I personally dont think it makes any sense at all in pseudo-realistic medieval fighting (maybe apart from things like a main gauche).
Discussing this topic can be very tricky as people tend to have a very strong opinion on the subject hehe :)
PsenBattleKeymasterHi Xoatl,
thanks for the encouragement and glad that you enjoy the game!
Right now we are absolutely focussing on bug fixing. Its incredible where do all these crashes come from? If you havent done so yet please post your crashes and logs in the bug forum, otherwise we wont be able to fix them.Location specific combat tiles are very high up on our list. You can have a look at my sticky “paulsens art corner thread” to see some mockups of what I am working on.
Cheers!
