SarissofoiParticipant
Just found the new Fighting Spear. That’s… Yeah, that’s very underwhelming for 2k+ crowns of expense. Every other weapon thus far has been exciting and made me want to use it, but the Fighting Spear just seems… Blegh.
Sadly must agree on that.
It is upgrade but cost compared to stats make it really not economic at all. If at last durability was higher or equip fatigue lower with maybe some bonus armour pen or small dmg buff. Or maybe if it has range 2.
With 2 range it would be really interesting weapon. Or maybe range one for Thurst but range 2 with impale(if used without shield?).
Now its just not worthy.SarissofoiParticipantLike so
Really cool.
Do we get some unique or legendaries?SarissofoiParticipantPsen, can you make some asymetrical bow like Yumi bow?
Also will we get some different ammo for bow/xbow?SarissofoiParticipantDo we get more bastard weapons similar to warbrand?
Like long spear or short pike?Definitely planned is hafted blade which will look like a warbrand on a stick.
Implementing more bastard weapons would be fun, as the warbrand is already my favorite weapon in the game. I’ll think about it!That is good news.
Do we get some more tiers of them?
Also do you plan/have in mind make some Legendary weapons that are above Unique with names? The weapons with their backstory and maybe rewards for specific quests or destroying specific premade locations with plenty of strong enemies?SarissofoiParticipantGreat work Psen.
Really great.

And I agree with Danubian: that’d make the rares a lot easier to see. Although… a yellow would be perfectly fine as well, but the right shade of yellow would need to be found to make it stand out.
What about this?
SarissofoiParticipantSarissofoiParticipantI vote for blue or some other color thats easy on the eyes.
Or even better no color at all but some sort of mark, something not too aggressive and immersion breaking.
SarissofoiParticipantI agree. No RNG = puzzle game
SarissofoiParticipantAlso sometimes they have Swordmaster or Hedge Knight with them.
And they are nasty bastards.SarissofoiParticipantTry to emigrate to other part of the map.
I suspect that some of the contracts can be connected to local lairs and camp and could be that local area is infested with orcs.SarissofoiParticipantI had it happen 3 or 4 times. All of deadly.
Semi Ironman so my band was poor low level and under armed.
I just run from them. Retreat from battle.
Remember fellow mercenaries that there are situation when better run like little bitch than get killed like a fool.SarissofoiParticipantThat is I what also notice.
I start my first game on deadly and it was deadly. Always short of coin. Enemy better armed. Losses hard to replace. Prices high.
Then I switch to even.
Contracts easy and with decent pay. food, tools, medicine cheap. I don’t need them all that much because enemies are low tier trash that I can easily deal with. And that is big problem on deadly to even keep your weapons in shape – especially that you start with low resources. Get stable situation. Bored fast.
Try 2nd difficulty level. Get used to it.
Now I play on deadly.
Its hard. On beginning. But its get easier with time.
Recently I roll new map and I have good start.
Some easy trade. Trade goods is must on Deadly on start.
Good map is a key.
Get lucky in some fight(low losses, not all items disappear).
Still have no reserves or decent weapons for all(only 8 soldiers). All heavy loss battle and I am in deep shit.
Only way now to recover is trade but you need cash for it.I think big problem is that locations for contracts are generated from thin air. They are not generated by world.
There is no bandit camp that molest villagers before you take the contract.SarissofoiParticipantMaybe replace student perk with the perk instructor or Mentor that increase chance of firing training/helping event?
SarissofoiParticipantGet solid armor +150 HP(better more) with helmet and Battle forged perk(-20% anti armor weapon effectiveness) plus kite shield and you are set.
Shield will block half the arrows and rest will have problem with penetrating armor as goblin bows have very little damage and armor effectiveness.
Having 70+ HP and 9 Lives perk also saves you from lucky dagger hit.
Still they are dodgy bastards. -
