UsikavaParticipant
I’ve got an answer on the discussion thread in steam, so I’d quote it here so this topic could be closed
They are generated randomly within certain stat ranges. However, the way it is done now they actually have a chance of not really being better than a normal weapon – just more fancy. We will most likely tune this a bit to make sure they are always better than regular weapons.
UsikavaParticipantThere is no tabarded hauberks in inventory game files(there is helmets and shields though) so I doubt you can get one now. But there is blue and red towered faction items present. Helmet looks funny, rly funny with this castle above head. =)))
UsikavaParticipantIt is a mod or plain photoshop for sure as there is no such helmet in a game files at all as well as there is no direwolf+scales armor there is only direwolf+leather and direwolf+chain armors in game files. But there is a lute as a weapon so crushing a lute on orc’s head is eventually possible =P
UsikavaParticipantMy last is called Lusty Lions =)
UsikavaParticipantthey does happen when you nearing the cities and when you’re leaving too, but you have a better chance that you won’t get them. I’ve been experimenting with deliveries for a while and “Along the road” have a MUCH higher chances too happen when you are really along the road. I did it even with the same mission through a save game. Tried road at first – got myself kicked badly – loaded – marched through forests and mountains and got to dest safely without any combat including the event one…
EDIT: Oh, and yeah there is delivery event that could happen no matter where you are going, one with the cursed box, that spawns ghosts and skeletons and they could be deadly on the start w\o fear immune. But it happens pretty rarely through two ~300 Days companies I seen it twice or so and I was building reps so I did every mission they threw at me at the time.
UsikavaParticipantCan’t understand your complains about deliveries. Haven’t you tried to avoid roads? That’s the first thing I tried with this ambush\event system and it works great. Yes you spend more time traveling but avoid most problems in early game, build up finances take a batter gear(well better then farm tools), start attacking graveyards to build up xp, and your company is good to go. If you can’t handle a mission yet, just don’t take combat missions…
UsikavaParticipantSo I did managed to get my rep with one faction up to Allied (100) here is the screenshots of it’s state and region that managed it possible(3 of the faction’s cities could be reached by water). Now I’m going to make a save a see how fast it will degrade back, as I’ll go and farm other rep(as for now I don’t really see any point in having Allied. The only one additional mission I’ve started to get often is of raze type, that I don’t really like as killing some peasants don’t give loot or much XP, and there is still lots of BIG orcish settlements to the east around the road that this nobles use to contact Saltkai with convoy’s)

UPD: Haven’t seen 2nd page, and wasn’t sure ’bout this so didn’t wrote it at first, but I think I saw gains from doing non-factional missions in faction related cities, but as I can understand Psen’s post it now also takes place. -
