    Good to hear.

I can only hope that in the future you plan to tie many more functions to settlements. Economy (sub settlements trading and interacting with a regional capital, farms contributing food, mines contributing resources for smithies etc), politics, groups to fight etc.

    The famous face helmet:

And of course my personal favorite boyar helmets:

All of this should be around 1000 ad or before.
Typical boyar in full period armor (Rus’ lands heavy infantry that dominated eastern Europe for centuries):

and of course the beautiful varengian armors (i think you call those coat of plates)

I would really love to see some Rus armors and particularly helmets.

For armors those are mostly a mix of Norse style scales and Steppe style lamellar armors.

This is basically what i mean:

About archers in forests sure, and thats why im pretty sure there are all those “to-hit penalties” that get listed when you aim. Im talking about having a dense trees pack blocking off completely a certain part of the map, preventing me shooting at all unless i move sometimes for 2 turns (and if you have 4 archers, having to move 3 for 3 turns is quite debilitating and giving a melee team on the other side a game changing advantage).

But im sure youll figure something out.

Naturally, this is just constructive criticism from probably more than 40 hours of gameplay. Just giving you some ideas how they could work in the future.

Just registered and just wanted to drop in here and tell you that battle brother artist(s) are the most talented game artists i have seen in quite some time.
The atmosphere and medievalish feel to the game are absolutely unique and wonderful and there are many multi million dollar budget games that could only ever dream of looking this good and believable. Specially when it comes to armors, weapons etc. This game is pure eye candy esthetic pleasure.
