Holy.DeathParticipantIt’s great to hear it’s planned. I am happy to wait.
Thanks. I will give it a try, although knowing my skill in being a tech-mage I am very likely to break something somehow.
Holy.DeathParticipantI might be wrong here, but once you hammer the undead well enough he will be past reanimating himself. At least that’s what I observed when pummeling zombies that decided to stand up after they were dispatched – damage was probably too severe as they stopped raising. That or the more damaged they are, the harder it’s for them to make a good roll for reanimation.
Holy.DeathParticipantI’ve been clearing a lot of graves lately (the quest givers were paying 2400 for each) and despite the “even” label zombies and ghouls were very easy to beat. I took almost no damage, etc. I think zombies in general could benefit from an increased resistance to slashing and stabbing weapons, as well as projectiles (arrows, bolts). It’d make them much more resilient and tire out battle brothers more, exposing them to other threats. Kind of what happened to skeletons before – arrows and bolts were capable of destroying them easily.
Holy.DeathParticipantWhy take away one unique ability the zombies have and make them even more trivial to defeat? Right now they at least have a potential of tying and tiring you down. Although I do think they need to be mixed up with some other enemies at some point, because ghouls and zombies alone don’t present a large enough threat past the beginning stage of the game.
Holy.DeathParticipantIt’s a good idea for crafting. Perhaps it could fit with a company’s blacksmith?
Holy.DeathParticipant…and if the banner carrier dies, people take huge morale hit.
Holy.DeathParticipantRun, Brave Sir Robin! Run very bravely!
Holy.DeathParticipantGood idea with making the undead feel more ancient, but does it mean that the skeletons from now on will only get this new ancient look or will there be some medieval-styled skeletons as well (I prefer these more)?
Holy.DeathParticipantTwo-handers (or shield-bearers) could regain some fatigue per each turn, for example. It could also give an extra reason to not spend APs – to recover more fatigue than usual. It’s not a bad suggestion, given how scarce resource fatigue can be.
Holy.DeathParticipantI think we need a scout version of the goblins (something akin to young orcs, which are not as deadly as the other orcs). Or – as leery said – make them appear later in game. I met my doom on hard on day 3 or so, while escorting a caravan. I simply didn’t have time to buy myself a decent gear or level up.
Holy.DeathParticipantI generally hate undead in games – I just feel uncomfortable with the concept of dead people attacking the living – but I love how their mechanics work in game. I will look forward to the update heralding the arrival of their rework. It will be amazing to see skeletons getting as much attention as everyone else got (zombies always felt fine for me, maybe because they got a lot of models already, while skeletons were fairly limited and not as varied as zombies in terms of equipment).
Holy.DeathParticipantWhen the update finally hits it will be the whole new game it seems.
Holy.DeathParticipantThe third armor is just… tasteless. I am looking forward to encountering the whole 9-12 different enemy outfits. That’s a huge increase in variety.
Holy.DeathParticipantNew orcs remind me of goblins. I guess it’s a good thing, because both races are kin.
Holy.DeathParticipantWell, I can see a striking resemblance…
