PsenBattleKeymaster
True, plate armor (at least for the humans) is not planned at the moment.
Brigandines and all kinds of different early medieval armor types will be added during the course of the next year whenever we see fit :)
As a rule of thumb there will be more of everything. At the moment I am focussing on more weapons.Cheers!
PsenBattleKeymasterJust like God said the Bascinet isnt too far off. It’s still sitting in my art backlog, but as we already have an okay-ish range of helmets I dont feel like pushing other things back to create more helmets right now.
Later we will add more of everything of course :)Cheers!
PsenBattleKeymasterHey guys,
sorry for not replying in quite a while, but now I’m back :)
Ooh…the swamps. I never thought that beforehand, but its actually the most difficult worldmap terrain tile type to paint. Its extremely tricky to create loopable tiles which actually look like a swamp and dont create an obvious repeating pattern or look too “noisy”.PsenBattleKeymasterHey guys,
just letting you know we are still setting up our offices and all that jazz, but work on the new systems has already begun (namely the event system).
The next blog post will probably come next week and give you some more detailed info on our progress.Cheers!
PsenBattleKeymasterHi guys,
at the moment I can only say that the whole topic is still under game-design-construction. Whe are pondering a variety of different paths to go and I dont feel comfortable sharing too many thoughts on the topic before we have decided on something internally. So for now its “No Comment” :)
PsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterThe snowy north and other scarcely inhabited areas will move more towards the center of attention once we have the hunt for legendary artifacts in the game.
Although we dont have concrete plans for a specific “snowland” faction yet our plan is to create culture specific add ons after the full release. These would cover one big cultural setting each for example “the north”. This would include everything: items, characters (looks and backgrounds), environment, legendaries and of course enemies. I can imagine that way its possible that some kind of snowland enemy faction (or two) will make it into the game.PsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterRegarding the legendaries we already have a backlog of around 100 items. Most of them are already roughly game-designed and have a little backstory/legend (Thanks to “Trig” at this point!).
A lot of this stuff may change once we actually start polishing and creating these items, but its a good base. The items themselves are (at the moment) divided in 3 levels of power so we have major and minor Items. The more powerful the harder to get.
Most of the items will provide unique active or passive skills which may have quite an impact on gameplay. So we will be careful to not shower the player with these items. As a rule of thumb: If you get such an item, a few brothers have to give their life for that :)
PsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterPsenBattleKeymasterSame for me. I just play with whomever I get. You have to adapt your tactics a little to your starting team. But after a few fights you should be all set no matter what bros you started with.
Okay, if you start with two beggars and a vagabond it might be more difficult :) But even thats doable, happened to me before. -
