There is a suggestion – to add the ability to customize the icon – the model of your unit on the global map. Maybe some options when creating a team of mercenaries at the start. The man said – the man made – will no longer bandits on the map… I’m afraid to ask, and named two-handed double-edged axe, you can? :) I’m ready to buy a further 3 copies of the game, to kill all the orcs (though I love them very much), necromancers and burn all the villages… e… i mean saving them for it!

ParticipantWell respected developers, foremost i want to clarify the following: I bought this game – and I’m very pleased with it. I advised to buy it to my friend, who does buying games once in a hundred years – when great Jewish holidays are taking place)) – and if you can imagine – he does bought this game too – and pleased either. Surely you don’t know all the details, but believe me this is enough to state – this game is awesome, based on an excellent foundation and is playable already. That’s why a long term question appeared.
We all understand, that the most exciting part in such game – is the beginning… and further party development, new features discovering, won battles over the previously prohibitive enemies, looting better equipment, completing quests marked “Impossible”. But afterwards 11th level will come.. or 100th doesn’t matter. What IS matter – that the playing process loosing most of fun – when your talented (or not) tactical solution works well. It IS great that there are no ultimate imba weapons, armors or “get X level and win ’em all”-perks in BB. It IS great but there’s still question: well, they’ll rise level cap from 11 to 111, they’ll design 3 perk branches more, but what about the opponents?
And main question emerges now: What would we wait from the game? Will developers go by the easiest way of opponents leveling system? Will we encounter an Orc with dragon-like HP-stripe? Will we face 200 bandits in everyday battle? This way is simple and boring. Or maybe our mercs will age, get perk-penalties with wounds or retire to organize their own parties. I think such a question generates some interest not only for me. So I want to know what do you think about this? And if your choice (as I hope) is not a simple way – so what future “late game content” do you prepare with this point of view?
And last for now – I’m sure you understand such a question had appeared only because BB deserves many hours of gameplay, and shouldn’t be complete fast.RusBear
Participantif I understand correctly you have created the mechanics for the game in which the mercenary receives or removes some of their character traits. While it works through selections in the dialogues. Is it possible to expect the mechanics of the emergence of removal of such traits depending on the action performed by your mercenary in combat. For example, a series of successful murder – you get the trait – master of the sword or axe adds you +5 to melee skill , the mercenary was on the verge of death or have received too many blows – features of fragile or cowardly. I think it would be very good for this game.

ParticipantI support the idea of purchasing traits battle-brothers. Only I think that she should not get out and be assigned depending on the actions performed by this mercenary in combat. Or for example some traits you can choose and some are assigned on the basis of the action. it is very interesting. Is this possible in game engine?

ParticipantI just wish that I was allowed to visually configure a portrait of one of the founders – with a beard, bald and Nordic tattoos :). To get started already that would be great. I could just have him present as a commander and not let him die in any case, to give him the best armor and weapons and the best girls in the rescued from the orcs town…

ParticipantI am too the type of players, that consider a variety of guns “work” is mandatory for RPG games.I also think that the presence of 1-2 weapons of each type in games-it’s just a matter of laziness of developers. Need balancity, draw models, meshes, customized animation. Of course the majority of devs do not wants to do it and tells us about the futility of the same 10 axes. And I want 10 of the same axes in performance, but with handles from a different tree – is perfectly.
But most important is that : I’ll be very happy to see this in our wonderful game. But we all understand now that the developers have a much higher priority, larger and more important for the development of the game in general. For future replay value. May there be many weapons, but when the game will already have everything planned out gameplay improvements.RusBear
ParticipantWith a debuff to melee and defence skill you’d get into weird situations though, like wanting to ping pong the enemy to another merc when you’re trying to make them easier to hit. Or having to chase down the enemies you hit away when you want to exploit their weakened defences. As a result, the enemy being moved away actually becomes a disadvantage, as its the debuff that you want and the movement only makes it harder to make the most of their temporary weakness. I also personally dislike flat debuffs to stats, since they only slightly tweak an exisiting option rather than adding new ways of dealing with an enemy.
In your arguments, there is undoubtedly a grain of truth. I just thought that this debuff, lets say… per 2 rounds after a successful attack with a shield – would be quite appropriate and logical. And its value is easily adjusted in favor of balance.

ParticipantAllow me to take part in discussions on the shield bash. As you look at it so successful shield lowered on some time attack and defense of the enemy. ParticipantUndoubtedly, everyone is waiting for content. The content is always good. Viking helmets and armor decorated with the wolf fur – I would have bought it already as DLS with red boots for 1.99( if you know what I mean… ) But the most important thing for me in games is the foundation – which either gives me entertain himself or not. And it already depends from the bright minds of the developers and no graphics , shaders and sexy girls here will not help. Battle brothers have such a basis. I am interested to play game: tactics, mechanics, I enjoy these beautiful faces of my boys and the wonderful sound of flies head bandit. I picked men in my company only with the “correct” – so I liked the background. Armed exclusively with axes and spears. Wore the same helmets, had built a wall of shields equip all swords and set all on the counter attack – I’m talking about what the game allows you to entertain yourself – if you can – and that’s fine. It is a pity that at the moment – 11 level high. I feel that my good warriors could achieve a lot more :)

ParticipantThe idea of combinations with the history of the character and bonuses on certain types of weapons – is very promising, for me. For the simple reason that it will deepen the roleplay. I, for example, love to play as I LIKE and not how it is easier to win. And if I hired brother with background lumberjack and he will have an increased chance of critiсal head chop with an axe – I’m just happy. Another question – is all this will entail a titanic job on balance and under game mechanics, but it is a question for the developers – are they ready for this? :)

But then i think that it can brake all game mechanic what we have at this moment as if just to add a horse to the mercenary in theory this will be one big buff and an easy win – and if to do on mind – i.e. fines in the forest and swamp, the vulnerability against spears, when falling from a horse – mill on a 2 rounds, the horse should be separate from the character model and it’s murder is the loss of the horse as a tactical and strategic map.In General, I realized that to require developers to add cavalry in the game is to demand another game :) work here on 2 games at once -
