I think most of the complains against goblins come from the fact that they have no low tier troops like people expect.
Bandits have thugs, undead have skeletons and zombies and ghouls, orcs have young orc(still they are strong for low tier) but goblins have no lows.
#There comes a idea.
Why if there be added some Wild Goblins. They are not organized ones like the regular Goblins so their forces consist of typical goblin rabble. They would be no belong to faction troops but become a filler troops for neutral locations and sometimes a roaming band of them.Another idea is adding some high tier troops for them. Like some armoured wolfrides with charge and heavy armour or heavy front line troops with a lot of pikes(that can actually fight against armoured troopers).

Currently all your brothers are distinct mainly by perks and some difference in numbers.
With basic stats and skill system some perks or attacks skill could be possible to use only if basic stats or skills have some minimum value.
Like Strong character with some decent axe skill have access to special chop attack or high dexterity character would have access to lunge skill(or whatever).
Currently all of brothers are jacks of all trade on start with no distinct likes or proficiency towards weapons. Sword masters are not better with sword than with axe or mace or pike. Or that one guy who just love axes but dislike using spears.
Sadly we are probably stuck with current system – simple and working but without flavour.SarissofoiParticipantWhat sergeant?
There is perk Capitan(2nd Tier utility) that boost resolve soldiers that have resolve lower than soldier with this perk and Rally the Troops(3th Tier Utility) perk that restore fatigue.
I really don’t see humans screaming that loud to scare orcs but I see a point in skill that actually rally the troops boosting their morale or at last make them back to normal morale status.SarissofoiParticipantWhat about a single custom battles against AI? When player can choose what kind force he lead against whose and their strength in what situation?
Like Battle Line in grassland with leading force of orcs(choose composition) against force of goblins(choose composition).

SarissofoiParticipantGoblins main strength are their archers.
Thing is that their bows lack power and with heavy armour they do little to no damage and rarely penetrate armour.
They are also easy to lure and ambush. They have decent skill in close combat but lack durability.
Their line troops(Skirmishers) are very passive which is easy to exploit. Their weapons lack power and are ineffective against strong armour. But they have decent skills even if they lack HP and armour. Their pikes can be dangerous and nets are really annoying.
Wolf-riders are good only against inexperienced and under equipped troops. Their behaviour rely heavy on flanking and its very easy to exploit. In melee their weapon lack punch. Their mobility make them hard to catch but they are not that great in actual combat.
Shaman is plain and simple big pain in the ass with his wines and swarms of insects.
Overseer is dangerous but he is just one and even with xbow he isn’t that dangerous.
Key is to fight them when you can actually defeat them.
Goblins are bane of low levels and that is why they slaughter militia with easy.
They can be challenging on medium but on high they are pushovers.
If you get 2-3 max leveled 6/0/4 archers you can slaughter them with no losses(especially when you hide behind kite shield wall). Killing 10 goblins on turn make rest broke and run. If not, just shoot them more.The biggest weakness of Goblin is their passiveness and predictable behaviour.
Sometimes it is just silly. Like 20 Skirmishers getting peppered by archers or enemy attacking you on global map and then sit on their position and letting you retreat with no problems.
The other is lack of scaling. Goblin faction have medium tier units only(with quirks) which make them dangerous to low level enemies but joke against high tier.
Orcs still are the kings of high level fight. Goblins don’t even get close.SarissofoiParticipantThe Wolf Mail is not in yet.
Well I just found out that this is wrong The armor is in and can be dropped by Bandit Leaders.

I think we really need in game some variety in cool light and medium armours(in heavies too). I normally don’t really care about looks that much in games but you can make some sexy armours Psen. I can’t resist the temptation to collect them all. I blame you and your art that I indulge in my sins.SarissofoiParticipantI get one.
Its superior to other mails and to Werewolf Hide Armour.

Regarding the Heraldic mail heres some clarification: It is not buyable at the moment, but only drops from knights.
Of course the militia and landsknechts are not attackable yet, but that will change with the worldmap update.Thanks for reply and information. BTW I had event that make tailor a Werewolf Hide armour. The same I get from a Bandit leaders. Currently have 3 of them.
I was thinking that the event make a Werewolf Mail armour. Is this Werewolf Mail armour in game and can be obtained by any means? Or it was just a rt presentation? Also I missing plenty of cool looking helmets that was available in old versions. hope they come back.1. named weapons : spear, 2 hand swords, halberds.
We will have to see what exactly happens to the “named weapons”. If we stick to the concept there will be weapons for all categories. But its also possible that we change the whole named weapons system around. Cant tell you yet.

I guess before we also implement named armors, we would rather go for legendary armors directly.
3. are there plans to increase the durability of all the named things ?
Not at the moment, I can drop that to the other guys.
4. will we see long bow and two-handed Mace?
Cant tell you when, but these are two are pretty high up on my personal whishlist.
5. and most importantly : horned helmets on the Northern faction and brothels in the capital:)
Dont know about brothels yet, but taverns will be in (more info on that in our next worldmap-blogpost).
Horned helmets:
Maybe something extraordinary happens to make me paint horned helmets (like a meteor hitting me on the head :)). Another possibility would be having me abducted by aliens and replaced by an android. Apart from that the chances are pretty slim that there will ever be brothers with horned helmets1. Named weapons are great addition. It really prolong fun in current state and its really nice touch. Hope I will see more of it. Although if they were be obtained in more than one way(looting) but also by crafting, buying and treasure hunting and events it would be more interesting and fun to play.

3. That is not necessary but it would be helpful. Current situation greatly benefit a soldiers with Bag&belts and Quick hands perks(it feels like they are necessary in current meta to be effective), when Weaponmaster feel underwhelming(the durability reduction feels more like 1st tier perk).
4.Hope we get more weapons types.
Current weapon choice feels little unbalanced. Although I think it can be fixed by more skills for weapon. What do you think about making separate weapon skills for 1 hand weapon when they are used as two handers(instead of flat damage ratio) or maybe additional skills if there is combo weapons(like sword plus round shield grant Skill Bash and Slash(details unknown)>. It would be make game more interesting.

It’s supposed to be still in, allthough extremely rare. The asset is not going to be removed
The availability and some variations of it will be tweaked a lot during the worldmap rework.
Just let me mention again that its not the strongest armor anymore, its close to the normal mail hauberks now.Thanks for reply. Didn’t see it in Goblin Invasion patch. And I play it like 140 hours. So its EXTREMELY rare indeed.
I actually prefer if it will be high medium tier with better armour to fatigue ratio for higher cost. Its look cool.
The scales armour looks good but not that great.

Who can carry Masterwork bow??? Never seen it in game…Nobody. Its not drop. Its made by event. You need level up boyer at last to level 6. For me its happened on level 11 after some time(like day 60). You can change guy name to some what you want your Masterbow named. I call one boyer a Sharpshooter and second Marksman so I get Sharpshooter’s Masterwork Bow.
I was thinking that drop from bandit leader is the same as Werewolf Armour made by event. But its looks like they are different. So now I am levelling a tailor.

With the amount of unique weapons I gather in my recent game my company definitely need a rent a warehouse to store some of them.
It would be cool to make have some sort of place to store surplus items and soldiers(for a cash). -
